Hello my name is Lilly and I am making videos about primitive living skills, survival, bushcraft, camping gear and prepping. I consider myself being a modern hunter-gatherer who wants to live as close as possible with mother nature and right now I am in the process of learning how to live off the land and thrive in the wilderness. Thanks for watching ~ Survival Lilly

hi I'm Lilly and today I want to make a video about the sweet chestnut sweet chestnut is a very good survival food it's containing a lot of carbohydrates a little bit of fat and protein and a lot of minerals and vitamins sweet chestnuts are pretty easy to identify everyone knows this nuts here but do you know how the tree looks like well this is one here and as you can see the leaves here are quite big and if we take our closer look you can see that there are sir a shion's

on the edges sweet chestnuts come in this spiky sheath here so when you collect this chestnuts you really have to watch out that you don't hurt yourself because they are really really spiky so the best way to cook sweet chestnuts is to roast them over fire let's make a fire so when you are roasting seed chestnuts over a file the moisture and the chestnut wants to get out and some of them explode and that's why I cut into the skin of chestnut to avoid exploding okay

that's it now delicious a 10-watt in fall we have so many wild edibles it's just impossible to die observation in the wild so I want to thank you for watching please check out these videos here and follow me on Facebook Twitter and Instagram subscribe to my channel if you haven't done it yet and leave me a like in the comments see you until next time
