Well this is certainly a different video. This request has been ask from me for so long. I had to do it :) You guys are patient with me....appreciate that! I understand that using soap to wash the kuksa is not recommended but theirs a lot more than coffee that goes in my kuksa's. So once in a while soap is needed..just water wont do it. Trust me at times they need to be disinfected. I then put a lite coat of mineral oil the same as my spoons. Never had any problems. Please visit our website http://bushcraftbartons.com/

all right so through the years a lot of people have been asking me what I do to clean my pots once I'm done from the bush so well I decided to finally make one so don't go away

all right so the first thing I wanna let you guys know is each of my pots or kits have their own bags but when I come back out of the bush in the same day and I know I won't be cleaning it in the bush I always carry a plastic bag to carry my dirty dishes so I don't dirty the original bags so the first thing I do is I cleaned anything that's wouldn't like my cooks off and the spoon now what I'll do is I'll just put a little bit of soap I don't do that often sometimes I just you know use hot water and this portion water works fairly not burning hot button

it's good enough I'll just just clean the inside real good a little bit of the outside use that same so clean my utensils and has to be fairly warm especially with with the would you want that water to evaporate as fast as you can and don't want it to soak into the wood so all I'll do is rinse it take hold on just use a rag to take the water off now it's not completely dry you need to let it air dry and I don't do this all the time but sometimes I will put a coat of mineral oil to save these guys keep them waterproof and such all right yeah it comes to pucks pants I'll do the same thing just use soap for the inside that's it just use the rag for the inside clean all there's no bacteria or whatever I'll just rinse it and the outside you don't want to use this because you're gonna dirtier than ruin it I just use my hand to take off the

take off the newly what do you call that anyway the newly black stuff want to take that off now I never use SOS to scrape all the black off of this cuz I mean it's a lot of work and it's pretty much useless because once this is cured all you have to do is take you know the recent one off like this just with hot water and you don't draw it you don't use the right to dry it you'll ruin your your rag what I do is I just put it aside let it air dry once it's dry it doesn't create any more soot on your hands then you can put them back in your original bags same for this and at the same time when you keep it black and we know that black absorbs heat faster so put that on the fire we'll give this some what it'll be faster for your boiling time in heating times so again just the interior just as you do normal distribution with soap this is not good at doing interior and again I'll just wipe off my hands the newly so they then today let this dry out

you don't wipe it I'll show you what I do so this is the final thing that I do again you don't wipe it with any rag cause you'll ruin your rag you just let it air dry like that and you know once it's pretty air dried what I'll do is I'll use another Scott towel you know to finish it off there's little spots and it's ready to go back in your bag it's simple it's not a lot of work and it's effective now I'm not saying this is what you should do it's just that a lot of you have been asking so I decided to show you so I hope this helps some of you thanks for watching
