all right just before you guys get into the main video I just want to talk about spoons again this for a minute I know I can be a bit of a pain but there's a few details I forgot to mention now you remember my wife's spoon that I made for her all right guys remember this one too bad the Sun isn't out because probably see the nice green in it but anyway the spoon that I made for me that was Birds my wife the spoon that I made for me was this one here which is old seasoned maple right if you can see the grain in there it's just beautiful now the little details I was wanting to show you is if you look at it if you can see it wait a minute I go further away it has a slight turn this way to the right now I don't know I'm purpose because I'm a lefty right so I can you don't want to make it curve too much because you'd have a hard time getting your food but just a little curve does fine and something else I left it thin on this side here thinner than the other side a little bit so it's easier for me to grab the food and if you notice there's a little belly here not a belly but a curve going this way I done that to see if it would go better to eat you know from different pots like pasta could be a little deeper so I'm going to test it I'm just testing shapes and all kinds of ways see which ways would be best to eat from and while we're here after doing this one you know this is really addicting I made this little one here a little design not the best but it's not bad

now you choose what you want to call these leaves or feathers it's totally up to you

no idea when I started doing this but anyway this is a smaller one and again it's twisting to your right it's for left-handed one left-handed person and again I left the side here a lot thinner than the other side I know if you notice the lip here going higher that's just to keep the food easier in in the spoon just to show you the difference in size it's a little smaller and lastly just to show you my that was maple again just to show you my more ancient spoons tada is again it was going left that one was curving a little it was curving too much had you know maybe good for soup or something but this is made out of cedar it's got a beautiful grain but you know cedar is very soft and this was my wife's so there you go anyway enough showing off of spoons enjoy the video well taking a little walk where's found some deer activity obviously last year

well I was planning on taking down my shelter today but still too much snow here give it another two weeks as I said before in one of my videos and of April beginning of May usually is when all the snow is gone a lot of places in the woods that there's no more if I just come here a few places there but that's one reason I'm putting it down not just to make something else but relocate we're in like a gully here and even though it's nice to be close to the river

a lot of snow accumulates here so some other time a couple years ago I traded some stuff with Robert from Anders Borg and when I got for a trade is what he called a Viking candle now Robert likes to do some reenactments of the past and what he sent me is supposedly one of the things maybe not just that that they would have used as a candle and I thought I would share this with you in this video
