the fire piston again I have to mention this again this was a gift so if you are sure and you recognize any of this and you guys out there you recognize this type of fire piston okay the maker and so on please write in the comments again I know I look silly but you know when it's a gift people don't always send the maker and all that I don't even think it was written on this one but if you do know it please write in the comments and I will drag that up right to the description so that everyone can see this now a fire piston how does it work well it's called a fire piston so it works like a piston this one in particular is really cool actually you've got it comes with a rope put around your neck right what's neat about this one is you got a little valve here okay that if you open it you can push this in then you close the valve and it's going to hold your piece by suction okay so you can carry it around your neck without losing it alright so I'll open it again get the piston out I'm going to close it up now how does this work

well what you need to do is when you hit on on the piston you've got to create enough heat down here I believe it's around 800 degrees in Fahrenheit that you must create in order to be able to start up your tinder that you put in here now another thing that we know about fires is that we need oxygen so that's why it's important when you bang this in you create that heat that you need but you got to pull it as fast as you can out so that heat can get oxygen and startup all right right here this is where you put your tinder you can put char cloth true tinder fungus you know Shagga you're a Madhu and even punk wood right it's pretty pretty neat so what am I going to do is get myself some char cloth find myself or prepare myself a birds nests and we'll try and start a fire with this I've used this only a few times so bear with me all right

stay tuned

okay so just put my piece of char cloth tip of the piston inside a small piece now what I need to do is to push hard enough on the piston to create enough heat and pull it back out fast enough so that heat and oxygen will create an ember right after that I'm going to put in my birds nests here and try and blow it into flames that's important to have something sharp okay with you so you're able to take the Ember out of there because it's not very big you

thing is not to panic not to be too much in a rush take your time doing this well gently blow on it cuz you don't have much

as soon as you start seeing thicker smoke then you can blow a little harder so that's how a fire piston works guys it's very effective all right some last thoughts about the fire piston ah where I think about a fire piston I think it's an excellent little tool to start a fire it's lightweight okay and you can carry around your neck if that's what you like but I think the I mean it doesn't you don't need much effort to get it going but the main thing about this fire piston I think it is excellent is that you don't need much tinder to get a fire going

it just got the size of a quarter of a penny that you have to put inside here so I think that's the main thing about a fire piston is that you don't need much so if you carry if you carry a char cloth with you you're going to be able to start many many many fires just with this little tool so again thanks for watching guys I hope this was helpful for some of you this is my crumble chef buttons but just one last thing guys I'll show you what I do remember this all purpose water ball water bowling me this is what I do I'm gonna have my butter okay the water filter here system and I'm going to put in my fire piston inside this bag now it comes with a important to have it just in case it busts a little seal right to replace the end of it there just in case I didn't show it here this seal here this incase of busting the bush you have you know a spare one so I'll put this in this little plastic bag here don't really need this in here a little bit of rolled-up char cloth quite a bit actually put it in this bag seal it up open my water bowl stick this in lips and just tire up so now I know I have thing to carry water boil water purify water and at the same time something to boil start a fire to be able to boil water or cook all in this little kit here very thin count back it's right at the end of my pack in the bottom all right thanks again
