How to Prepare a Deer for Food | Survival Skills | Bushcraft | Wild Meat | Wilderness Living

Description

I learn how to process a deer and develop wilderness survival skills at my buddy Dustin's Bushcraft Camp. Dustin then shows me how to get different cuts of meat from the deer which we then cook over the fire.

Using just a bushcraft knife and our hands, we delicately process the deer, making sure not to waste any meat. Really enjoyed learning this key survival skill and to top it off we cooked the meat fresh straight over a campfire. The ribs were slow hooked hanging over the heat of the fire. We pan fried the pencil fillets, then made jerky in a primitive smoker made from natural materials, tree roots and saplings.
