is nick from hf survival school and today we'll be making a bushcraft pot hanger so first of all let's go and look for a needed material we need to find the hazel twist as you know hazel tree is the best for our bushcraft tasks so we need to find a piece of wood which is about risk thick and about one-half meters in height so let's find out you can know hazel by its strength its flexibility and that you can know hazel by its hazelnuts here is the big stick which we need so first of all we want to make a straight cut on the top of it so next we need a piece of wood with the shape like this now we want to make a point on this side on the bottom side and we want to route in the edges so that when we pound it it won't get mushroomed out so let's do this you

then we need a piece of wood like this which is about 30 centimeters long which has not much knots in it and has a stick like this

so then on the piece of wood which will be hanging from the main stick we will make some cross cuts in it too or maximum free so let's see how to make this so now to make a crosscut we place our blade on the stick diagonally like this and then we put on it till they have like this like this and then we place our blade from the other side to make an cross or X and we bet on it this way sold it at the end it it will have this X shape and we make three of these egg shape cross cuts oh and I forgot to tell that these cross cuts need to be on the side where's this stick is hanging out so as you see here is the stick and here are the excess now we cut off these cross cuts so that we live only one of the points we will see how to make that now so here is our final product with three cross cuts make sure that the point which you live is going downwards on the side of this tick which is hanging out make sure that this points are stiff enough to hang on the beach though the last component for our pot hanger is this why type stick which is pretty thick enough to hold the weight of your pot now we have to cut these edges to make it round so that it doesn't match them out when we stick it in the ground and we need to make a point on the bottom

so then we need to place our why type stick next to the fireplace and we need to punch it in the ground to stabilize it
