hello guys this is leaked from each of survival school thank you for joining me today we will learn how to make winter snow shoes

first of all we will need to go and gather some materials pine is a great wood for this project but there is not much pine around me this size so i will be using hazel hazel also works great we need it to be our Haith or maybe a little bit longer but not less and on the smaller size we need it to be a pinky thick and it has to be as straight as possible after we harvest 10 piece of such would next step is to start caring and get rid of the bark from all the sticks

all of the carving is done we need to make a notch on the bottom or about 21 inch from the end on all of our testings so after we have nursed all of the tas sticks we take five put them together well then we take some cordage i am using paracord here or we wrap some paracord around one stick make three knots then we wrap the cord around the neck stick then three nuts and so on until the end so after we are done making the bottom side then we go to the other side take all of these five sticks together and we have some cordage around it I made the three half notches and burn the ends of the power cords together I also had some zip ties with me and I use the zip tied for extra protection and extra strength so after we have tied the bottom side and after we have tied the top side we need to find or carve two pieces of food which will be about a thumb to pinkie in length then we need to put this notion our hand to find where the center of gravity is then we place one piece of food there and tight then or we need to do the measuring so after we have tied the piece of food on the place where the center of gravity is we put our foot on it and then we put the other piece of food on the place where our toes are resting and we tied there we did it this way because when we will be walking we want our tips of the snowshoes to be raised up and not push down in the ground I carved out these notches so that when we tied the cordage around it it will be more sturdy and it won't be slipping around the snowshoe so as you guys can see both of our snowshoes are ready i have used zip ties because something looks stupid happen to me i just realized that i don't have enough cordage to type to tie down all of these sticks to the snowshoes that's why i use zip ties but i will be changing them with paracord when i arrived home then we need to make an improvised jig to bend the tips of the snowshoe so that they don't get stuck in the ground when we will be working with it in the snow so the last step is to attach our snowshoes to our boots let's see how to make that now so to tie our boots to the snowshoe we take our cordage put it around the front stick do the same thing on the other side this then we put our foot in this loop then we take this two pieces of rope tuck it under the rope which is on our foot tighten it will it hard spendy to spin these two ropes put it around our leg and tight like that and we are all ready to go so guys I think that will be all for today thank you for watching if you liked the video please give this video a thumbs up also subscribe to my youtube channel it will help a lot also like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter thank you for watching

you

I am not a bushcraft/survival expert in any mean , I am just a regular guy who loves to go out in the woods , have fun and learn something along the way with you guys :)

I am the first bushcrafter in my country and try my best to gain knowledge in wilderness living skills and survival , so that one day I will be able to live of the grid , live in the bush or maybe just go on a long term trip for a few months.
