hello guys this is Nick from H of swallows school thank you very much for joining me

so today as you see me and my boy max over there are out here in the woods at last I managed to get out for two days we will have an overnighter it will be my first night in this Polish Levu and I hope that you will enjoy do it though because I have a quite a few projects which I want to do today and tomorrow so hope this video turns out entertaining and you know give this video a thumbs up for sure so as you saw I have put some water in my pot and hanged it from my head our handmade pot hanger and now I'll be waiting for the water to boil I don't know why am I getting smoked out because winds from that side it goes like this horizontally so I'll be making some ramen noodles to have some quick dinner because I'm came out from house I think it was like 9 or 10 and now it is like 5 p.m. so it it has been quite a long time after breakfast and I want to have something quick so that then we can continue with making our projects you guys saw me using this tube which I cut from an old radio antenna it is hollow and I can blow in it and this is a really good I don't - to your kit I found out this at home when I was starting a fire on my grill and I was blowing in it to make they make it to heat it up quickly and it is a greater than it doesn't wait anything it does take in space but as you see the fire got down a little bit and now I will blow in it and they all of the heat will come

as you see it is a very effective method of heating up the coals all of my subscribers will remember that for pests like year or year and a half I always forget my spoon at home so now there is a there will be changing that because I got me a new spoon it is a titanium spork

my company called Kate titanium this as you see it is a nice looking spork spork me that it is a spoon and the fork at once it is titanium and so it is ultra lightweight you can it doesn't have any weight literally as you see case titanium and it also comes with this older pouch or whatever it is called so that you can put the thirty spoon inside I got this phone from gearbest kill breast is a great site it was like I don't remember I think 12 dollars or such it costs that much and for titanium spork it's really not that expensive so they also have some other cool titanium gear they also have some other camping gear so you should definitely check it out I'm an affiliate of them so I will include a link down description and for the every item which you will buy from that link I will be getting some percent of your optic ash without you spending anything board that will be a great way to help out the channel and also get some cool gear for yourself I think the Ramos noodles should be ready yeah there's nothing like a nice hot ramos noodles in the outdoors although as I know it is not one of the most healthiest food you can eat but who cares

I always struggle to eat ramen noodles with my spoon because all of the pasta was coming out but as you see because I'm using a spork the fork part catches the pasta I just realized that and there is also some juice on the spoon side so guys now I want to make a pipe the pipe which I have a tutorial on if you haven't seen that video please click the card so I have this small piece which is dry spruce and I want to make the pipe from this this is also dry spruce and I will be using this as a spindle now I was looking for some hard loose - for my spindle because it would be much more faster to make the hole in the pipe but in this woodland I couldn't find there were a few hardwoods and none of them are dead so I will be using spruce I will make a spindle from this I'll be making my bow from this as you say the proper length of the bow is from your armpits until the end of your hand as you see and I will find some small piece of green wood to use as a bearing block so that I can hold the spindle with it so I have everything ready to start making the pipe but I just realized that all of the paracord that I had I wrapped everything on the tripod there was a lot of excess but I didn't cut it and I just tied it around the tripod and now I don't have any kind of cordage so talking about multi-purpose items I always change laces of my outdoor shoes and as you see on my big boots as well I have changed it with 550 paracord so I have a lot of cordage I can take off the lace from one of my boots and use it and that is a really good tip for any kind of outdoor activity so that if you need some kind of cordage you will have paracord everywhere you go until unless someone may takes off your boots so know if you don't need we're strong pals if you don't need that were strong cordage you can just take out the inner strands of it and you'll use the ultra outer layer as your laces as well just like that I think the hole was finished now I have to give it a little bit of shape and then we have to split it in the middle so now is the part when we can destroy all of our hard work and one hour of spinning the spindle to make the hole now have to split it in the middle so with it so that we make a stem or small cut out in the middle and then we're gonna tie it around with some kind of cordage

so just like that you split in half now we need to make a small stem right here so just like that the split was successful and now that the stem is ready you say as you say now now there is going inside and only the things left to do is to take some kind of cordage and wrap it around now I'll try to find some spruce roots and the way if I will be able to find a good good root to wrap it around I will be using that but to tell you the truth now that I put it together it is not coming undone because of the split all of the sockets cut inside together and and the only way the air is coming inside is from this hole so it is worth successful already I was able to find a small piece of root as you see then you have to split it in the middle with your knife just like this and then you can use it as a cordage just like bitten now all tucked inside just like that I'll cut off the excess I have some were special tobacco with me my cousin gave it to me he smokes pipe he likes to smoke five time after time here I'll show it to you so here's how you put it you put a small amount and you push it inside as hard as you can we hope the pipe will not come undone it's nice to have a special pusher but we don't have it in here in the wild just like that then you put another bunch but this time you don't push as hard in my case I don't know I think I'll push it because this is not your normal pipe and then you put the third amount and that's how you put tobacco in a regular pipe but as you see mine is already full but I'll try to smoke this now let's save this rest for tomorrow I don't have a lighter with me so let's improvise

I think it has some fruit flavors and that's how you make a pipe in the bush with using only a knife and of course if you are growing tobacco behind your test

this is kind of traditional Georgian cooking pan it is just a regular clay kind of plate with a bit more lip so that you can keep some juice also in it now I will wait for it a little bit to warm up and then we can put the steak on it

[Music]

[Music]

yep

that is done for sure the most important part of this clay plate is that you have to take it out from the fire it is still hot

and as you see it is still cooking all of this bone and meat will go to max this is for me I have some flat bud let's try the steak max enjoyed the bone as well and came out real delicious without a doubt so that will be all for today I just went inside the tent I closed the top I took down the fire I wanted to make some tea but I just got two tires today to do that and it is still early for my sleep it is 11 o'clock but I'll try to go to sleep as you see Max's you can see max over there with my boots on my sleeping pad trying to sleep and today as you say I decided that I wouldn't take my sleeping bag and I would take a wool blanket so I decided to take a wool blanket just to add that kind of vintage style you know I have a look at lantern a wool blanket polish lahu from the world war two hunt stuff like that a few words about the lantern it was owned by my neighbor witch who actually was a kind of far relative of mine he was in great minute this Lantern he had on his expedition in Syria when he was on the expedition in the 60s or 70s oh can you imagine what kind of history has it had been on real kind of expeditions and it has been in a long it has been in more places than some people whoever with it in their whole life see you guys tomorrow good morning everyone

so I just woke up it is 11 o'clock in the morning now yesterday I tried to go to sleep it was like 11 when I finished all the writing in my notebook and reading and stuff but I was not able to sleep on till life tore half past 2:00 at night I don't know why was that maybe because it's warmer I'm used to sleeping at that time and maybe maybe it was because of that and also it's night it's time when I was going to sleep there was some thunder even though there was no rain in the forecast and it started to rain and it was raining all night I woke up to about one or two times as I remember and the only reason for that to be was because this wool blanket is not that big for someone my size so when it could happen the cold air comes in that's when I woke up so now I was just laying around for about an hour cuddling max and stuff also there was no leaks in the tarp but the all the places where it was leaking was right here I mean all these arm holes it was tied up until the end right from the bottom there were like a few drops of rain coming about once every 20 seconds or so so that was not that big of a problem but when I go get home I will ask a few people who have this tarp also who have this tent also what to get some advice how to fix that so that there will be no leaks

now I did a good job to not bring the center Pole because without it I have a lot of space in the tent I mean second guy could fit here but we have we would be sleeping were close and there would be still place for our backpacks now I can get back up I was planning to do some Paul drew fire in the morning but everything is soaking wet and the pieces which I harvested yesterday I said because I was so tired I forgot that night and all of them got wet so all of my firewood is wet and now start tried to start the fire I'm 100% sure there's no more no more embers in the fireplace but it should not be a problem writing it back up I'll gather a few more dead standing pieces and that should be at night when I had the lamp on it was literally just hot inside I had all of these vents open but I was so hot so hot that it was suity so I was forced to turn it off and use my headlamp I'll put on clothes and get up and start the fire so I just realized I messed up pretty bad I had two bags in one of them I had salt one of them I had sugar I didn't look inside and accidentally I put salt in my tea so there won't be anything for me today that will be my punishment for not being careful and putting soft in your tea so I have well dirty hands that's why I'll be making this the most untraditional way and we'll we'll be using spoon to prepared to mix it I think it is very important to carry a notebook with you all the time I try to always take it and I know at first it may sound kind of difficult to you don't know what to write about but when you take your pen and when you take your notebook maybe before you go to sleep in the woods you know there is always something you write down and you want to talk about so I got this cool kind of pirate-themed notebook from gearbest it's the same it has a leather cover when you open it it has kind of old school papers and I have here some notes for my flute and some other stuff and some personal notes which I won't share of course because they are only for me so if you want to get this or maybe other gear from gearbest I will I will put a link down description it will be my affiliate link I made this flute the PVC flute it is kind of Native American tuned and I made it with the instructions of Loni from far north bushcraft and survival he has a great and informative video about this so if you want to try it I will put the link down description [Music]

as you see I'm just picking the right and the food also doesn't sound the best out there

[Music]

so I hope you guys like the video if you liked it please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my youtube channel for to be notified for more awesome videos click the bell icon next to subscribe so that you will be notified when I post new with those so by the way max over there was sleeping it doesn't care about the video became a father and I decided to live one puppy to me so he's already I think two months old and when it will be time when a hue ready to come out in the woods I will introduce him to you guys so now I'll have to adventure dog so ain't that awesome or what he is just adorable I'm also filming a small kind of process of him growing up widowed and I hope I'll post it also if you of course if you guys be interested in it also you can help me very much on patreon I will all the important links will be down description so if you decide to donate maybe $5 and $10 or a month they may be equal to one more or two more widows so it will be I will much appreciate it if you could become my patreon so thank you very much for watching and see you guys in the next one
