hello everybody welcome to Russia and welcome to the cold north again so as per request several requests actually I will today give you a fast as possible more detail look at this silky katana boy 500 that I've been using for quite a while now here so hang on and there I'll get it all set the cameras up and so on so first up on what we got here is a it's a big sheath or quiver what you can call it to carry it in of course and it's much more heavy duty than it looks like it's it's quite thick and have a pocket here on the rear you can carry spare plates and plates of different the tea size and so on here's like a strap for carrying on the back and on the front of will crow lock and that's basically it of course it's made for professionals so so it's quite good quality and so cause very nice to just be able to sling it on your back and have a small like oh I use the small canvas pack snow and the scour around came from the forest and so on but let's take a look at this off first I will run through the basic operation of it because this little screw here is very very important because as it says on the package the T's are they're not sharp they're extremely sharp and they really are you unscrew this thing and you cannot screw it also you lose it you press it and then you open turn then you close it but the important thing is when you want to close the so again you press it one time and let go and then it will automatically stop here so will not fall down and cut your fingers because it will it will cut to the bone and through the bone I think if it just fell down on your fingers so that's really nice how I do it is I just take it like this and I tap it closes and that's how it works the play on this katana boy 500 is 500 millimeters long meaning 50 centimeters or 19.7 inches that's a big blade as it says on the description or on this or the robber handle is for giving it good performance and good grip in rainy and cold weather and and with gloves on and so on and that's the truth it works really well in cold weather I have had none no sleeping and I'll show you some pictures and so on of this and covered in ice almost I've been using this katana by 500 regularly in temperatures below minus 20 C and I had no problems with it at all honestly if I had I would say but let me show you some of the material I have for from the users of this song for another one will compress the last area we can make space lapses needed oh yeah I could get 13 meter pine cut down cut to pieces and brought to camp that's it

so that's what we just went through nice lock

the blade here is like a taper kind of taper ground meaning that the T's are wider than the blade so the blade will not stick and then of course gives you a faster cut and so on it has five T's per 30 millimeters or four TPI with just four teeth per inch you can have several different types of teeth per inch or T's pers 330 millimeters which is of course quite cool so we can have a finer or rougher cut blades easily changeable with this screw we can do it with a coin or whatever knife so that's the basics on this saw very very simple very very effective and all the cool thing about this silky katana boy 500 is that you can actually sharpen it with a file you can get from silky of course so in my opinion that's another huge benefit what is also great about this saw is that it's not restricted by a bow or anything you'll cut through anything that this plate basically can chew over an even bigger meaning you can get real firewood you can get real construction material for Shielders I'll show you my super World War 2 bunker shield I made up in the forest here I will never have been able to make this silver as fast as I did without the so like this so to sum things up I've been extremely happy about having this silky katana boy with me this time because it may it may things so much easier as you can see in the footage and so on you can just stand and card you can reach up high and cut things I mean even if you only caught with this piece of the part of the saw it's just open to cut down branches and whatever you want so yeah I can highly recommend it because it will really change all your possibilities of making shield on fires and this and this and that so check the links like subscribe go and shake me on Facebook

see you next time in the cold north guys
