Solo Winter Overnighter / HD

Finally snow came to the Swiss mountains and Taro is going to his camp to show us one of his most beautiful video about overnight.

You will be very pleased to enjoy Taro in his excellent narration of his solo winter overnight!

This video will give you very interesting tips about camp site making (1':15") such as distance to consider between shelter and fire and how to mount the shelter using paracord and crafting wood pickets (2':05").

At (2':32") you can see Taro building the base for his bed using twigs to create insulation from the ground and positioning his sleeping bag. At (3':30") it is possible to learn how to make a fire in the snow.

Taro creates a base for the fire using wood cut with small handy saw and uses small twigs taken from the place and other obtained batoning the wood he gathered. To start the fire he uses an ember with dried grass and birch bark and obviously a firesteel scraped with his knife. The ignition is obtained with chalked coat.

At (5':54") Taro shows how to create a small wood grill to cook some meat on it.
