hey guys Darwin here again I want to take a minute to talk about one of my new favorite pieces of gear if you're like me whenever you do any backpacking in colder weather in the winter months or even in the fall months at my feet always get cold I can be in either a 15 degree bag 0 degree bag up top be super warm but my feet are always freezing so this has definitely been one of my new favorite pieces of gear it's by a company called goose feet gear and these are the goose creek gear down socks the pair with the stuff sack comes in at two point two ounces again to point 2 ounces for a large pair of downsides these guys are made of a per text nylon on the outside and the inside and they have an 850 fill down tech inside of them now the regular without extra fill are rated at about 35 degrees and then these guys I actually got the extra twenty-five percent fill which brings them to 30 and the more fill you get in it the lower it brings it down all the way to a hundred percent extra fill which would be double stuffing which brings it to about a 15 degree down fill so these things were excellent for me during the colder months I'm in March and April whenever I was on the Appalachian Trail this year especially up in the Smokies I had a 90-degree night feet got cold through these guys on instantly warm so it's pretty much a down jacket for your feet so yeah check them out do speed gear down sucks hop over their website you custom order them get them how you want getting what size you want how much down you want in them thanks for watching you

At the end of 2014 my wife Snuggles & I decided to quit our jobs, sell 95% of the things we own, & leave our home town for good in search of adventure, culture, & the true meaning of happiness. We bought a van, traveled all over the country & hiked the entire Appalachian Trail (2189.2 miles). We are still seeking adventure in new places, meeting new people, trying new food & drink, & discovering all that we can.

This Channel has developed into a main hub for aspiring hikers & current hikers to gain info on a wide variety of Trail Topics. With a series of Trip Videos, Q&A, Tip Videos, & Gear Reviews, I aim to get you out on the trail and hiking more!

Hike On,
Darwin
