so today I figured I would do a little bit of a different type of gear review not only do I love backpacking and hiking but so does my dog I have a black lab named Bowie you might have seen her in some of my videos or some of my pictures but she also loves to tag along on the trail and go for some hiking adventures

but this is gonna be a review of the kirgo max pack kirgo is this awesome brand that we recently discovered they make a bunch of really cool hiking gear for dogs see the little logo there but this is her new pack the problem that I've had with the Ruff wear packs and the outward Hound packs we've had for is they've all been one piece that have went on her back so getting that fit dialed in to where the saddlebags sit on her right without falling over to one side has been really hard what I really love about this pack for her is that it has separate compartments so it has two separate bags and then it has the harness in the middle so what that allows you to do with all these different straps is it allows you to get a more dialed in fit so if you're carrying something heavier on this side then on this side you can retain this up a little higher than this so this has been great and balancing for her and she's really loved it seems like she really loved it so it is a 7.5 liter pack and because of the adjustment on the straps they made it to fit a dog anywhere from 50 pounds to 110 pounds Bowie comes in right at 75 pounds so this works great for her with a little bit of dialing in so it on each side it has a big pocket nice storage we have some cookies in here for and then it has a small little pocket up front kind of keep some smaller items in I like to actually keep a knife in there my headlamp my keys a couple of things that I can kind of put on her so I don't have to carry and then in the bigger pockets I like to keep bottles of water and snacks for her so it's pretty much the same on both sides with the tacks definitely big enough for a water bottle and whatever else you have to put in there extended backpacking trips I like to put in a nice big bag of food for like one or two nights and it's perfect for it I can put all our food on one or water bottles on the other side a couple small things and it's perfect for that the other really great thing about it is it has a rear-mounted leash hook so instead of having your leash if she's on the leash instead of having the leash actually attached to her collar on the front of it it's actually attached to the back so that way you have better control and you're not pulling them by the neck if they take off you're pulling them by their hole their whole body so I really like that and the other cool thing that cargo did is they turn the leash hook into a bottle opener so you can open bottles of beer so I can load it up with a nice craft beer on one side water on the other side and she can be my my beer drinking buddy so like that as well yeah she's really digging it it's also water resistant and all cargo stuff is lifetime warranty so it's lifetime guaranteed against any rips breaks in the fabric and the stitching or any of that so that's a really great feature that I was kind of looking for with a new pack for her the little front chest harness and the top is all padded so it's nice and comfy on her especially when it's loaded down with some weight and cargo themselves donates 2% of all their profits to a homeless animal shelter so to help out dogs that are in need they donate two percent so check out the cargo dog packs again this is the cur go max pack leave me some comments below like or dislike my video subscribe to my channel if you haven't already and as always thanks for watching

At the end of 2014 my wife Snuggles & I decided to quit our jobs, sell 95% of the things we own, & leave our home town for good in search of adventure, culture, & the true meaning of happiness. We bought a van, traveled all over the country & hiked the entire Appalachian Trail (2189.2 miles). We are still seeking adventure in new places, meeting new people, trying new food & drink, & discovering all that we can.

This Channel has developed into a main hub for aspiring hikers & current hikers to gain info on a wide variety of Trail Topics. With a series of Trip Videos, Q&A, Tip Videos, & Gear Reviews, I aim to get you out on the trail and hiking more!

Hike On,
