Bushcraft Backpack Review - Snugpak Stamina | TAOutdoors

Description

Snugpak Stamina: http://amzn.to/2cKiGlF After many questions from you guys on the Bushcraft Camp Update videos as to what Backpack I use, I decided to do a review of it. The Snugpak Stamina 40L is a very well made backpack. Snugpak are a British company and I feel that the gear that they make is built to last. I did a lot of research before I bought this bag and it was worth it. Having used it fairly rigorously over the past 6 months it is holding up very well. It has comfortable straps, ample space but not too big and bulky when full. The reason I needed a 40L bag is because I have the additional filming gear that I carry with me: Camera, Tripod, Microphone and Camera accessories. The full specs of the bag can be seen below:

hello guys welcome to totally awesome outdoors

now I've had loads of loads of questions and great responses from you guys on my bushcraft camp update videos one of the most common questions I get asked is what backpack can were using at the moment and so I thought I'd do a really quick review I've only got about four minutes left on my camera battery so this video will hope well has to be no longer than about 45 minutes but I use the snug pack stamina it's a 40 litre bag I really like snug pack I think they're a great company I'm not sponsored by them I didn't get it for free I paid for the bag but they're a British company everything's really well-made it's really good quality it has a real durable feel to it I also have the snug packs off the elite 4 sleeping bag which is also fantastic but the bag is brilliant it's 40 litre bag is loads and loads of space that's basically kind of two compartments there's the main compartment which is in the bag but there's a zip here which has a top section and actually you can fit a huge amount of things into this top section of the bag it's very big and then inside here two clips at the front there's also a velcro bit there for you any personal patches that you guys like having out there it's really cool inside it's massive inside really really big but not kind of too big you know it's not like a big Bergen type bag there's a hydration bladder pouch here just to the side of the bag which is quite nice it's not other backers to the side it's reinforced foam padding at the back so it helps keep the bag you know the structure in the shape of the back it doesn't kind of flop over and but that's basically the inside of the bag on the front we have bungee straps here just kind of bungee webbing we've got a mesh pocket here where you could probably put you know bits that you want visible Maps compasses things like that there is the ability underneath at the bottom to has kind of MOLLE webbing straps here to add as loop straps here as well to add your bedroll sleeping we roll things like that your mats on the side there side clips here there is also big Ecstatic pockets moving

it again a huge amount of stuff in there you'd be really surprised and actually on the inside which is quite cool as you kind of open the bag there's this another small compartment which is on the reverse side of the of the top septum of the bag with a small zit and again you can put small bits in here wallet keys I generally put the bits that I need quite quick access to in this pocket here lighters things like that emergency first they things like that on the back of the bag again here you can see the strapping is really really good thick foam it's very very comfortable there's lots and strap lots of strapping you've got your hip straps or your waist straps here this is where most of the weight will be taken on if your bags properly done up you should have most of the weight around your hips area not on your shoulders because you will get back a big big Clips here very good quality Clips as well d rings or D loops here so you can hang anything off there really that you want from carabiners and things like that underneath it does have a rain cover in the bottom zip here which covers no joke pretty much I reckon I could fit in this it's very very last offensive it covers the whole bag and my camera bag as well and it's that nice olive green I'm running out of battery so I'll just run through this quickly what I really love about this this bag in particular which is very unique I think is that it has very long straps so obviously if your different sizes all of us humans are different sizes you can adjust these straps to the setting that's comfortable for you but rather than have it all sagging all over the place and flapping around your legs they've got this genius idea of basically these small velcro straps each side of the long strap itself and you just fold it on itself I'm hoping you can see this but you fold it on itself it's real simple today and then you get to obviously the point where you can no can no longer fold it fold over the velcro and all that sagginess all the strap that was around flapping around your legs is now tucked up in the bag and actually pretty much every strap has every strap on this bag has these velcro straps to keep them you know keep them small so I think that's a really really good idea well guys I hope you've enjoyed that review I know it's a really fast one it wasn't too in-depth but

there's much more information in the video description on all the specs and features of the bag in much more detail i've been using it for six months or so now I find it a fantastic bag hopefully you guys do too if you ever use it or let me know in the comment section what bags you guys use thanks for watching guys
