hi I'm t gun on gun cleaning today my shotgun I've been using this morning and I'll go through from A to B how I clean my gun I'll get my gun out pull the gun check it 70 and although be first thing I'll do is take the gun apart from put the four in back on that keep the sharp pieces away from my hand this is a 28 inch barrel 12 it's got fixed chokes this is where they haven't got a multi choke system it's already bored out a half and quarter that means it got an open choke beside and a restricted chug this side the choke is a full restricting the shot coming out of there the barrels the top barrel here is restricted to half or the call half choked this is a tighter choke and it's got more pellets tighter together the bottom barrel is an open open choke this gives it more spread when it's fired this is a two or three quarter inch barrel for two or three quarter inch cartridges ejector this when it's fired and opened it will throw out the cartridges on this gun this is multi choke

under and over these show of this choke comes out I can demonstrate the choke for you this is a joke one of the things if you have got one of these shotguns with Mulder jokes is to watch out for and be very careful of if they've got a dent wadding can get up the side of them and blow the choke out each choke is slightly smaller they start off is cylinder choke through to full choke there's a full set bat as from cylinder quarter half and three quarter and one in there is full choke cleaning the first gun how I do it is to get a wire brush these are normally bronze yeah I've not put any oil or anything in there it's dry I push the through nice and gently turning as it goes draw it do the next battle nice and steady and pull it out there's carbon deposits in the gun that I've just loosened now I get some on the kitchen towel or this blue tail take this off roll it up push it in this barrel go to the next battle jump falls too much in is you may never get it out it's nice and tight in there and you just push straight throat I push it into a bucket and that gets rid of the family this is not clean yet next process I spray solvent down the barrel putting it into the bucket the other half doesn't like it on the carpet spray the solvent into the barrels leave it for a few moments to let it dick clean inside and clear the lead fouling into the barrel next job

is to get some towel forward to go over and put on my jag then you put it into the barrel nice and gently and push it through I'm not really push it through nice and gently as you see it starts to take the leg fat now don't use the same towel for the next BAP new piece something I normally do is forget which verilog done put up this barrel gently push and it cleans that barrel look through make sure everything's clean I shine a light through the barrel to show you how clean it can come second barrel that's cleaning the inside of the barrel there's a small amount of oil inside that we do now very small amount of oil by taking the wire brush off the bronze brush it's not made of wire and putting on the mop to put a very small amount of gun oil in the barrels and so I just finally all this is ordinary gun oil it's very small amount as you see you don't want to put car engine oil or it's got to be very thin done well it just protects the barrel do the opposite one small amount of oil you do not want to put a lot of oil in the barrels you put a lot of oil in you can put the pressures up on the the barrels and you could have an accident now that's done next job with q-tips is to clean all round the action and in the grooves there's always there's bit particles of cartridge powder and other things get in there press you referred a day out in the woods a clean gun will last few years if you've got muck in the gun you're going to have problems you get pieces of in there you can have pieces of wood or a leaf even and when you come to shut your gun won't be able to because there's such tight tolerances between the guns that you can have a piece of leaf that and you cannot shut the gum and your date will be spoiled because of not cleaning it that's done and now i take the forend off make sure that's clean here we are just clean it out that's nice and clean now I'm going to oil these items I am going to put very small amout of oral only cute it you don't need to swamp the gun and oil a little bit there leave it down there little bit on there some there get what on the sleeve there bit there and some down there that barrel for waiting is nearly complete next little job on the barrels I use tetran it suits me there's other things on the market but this one suits me you shake it up just wipe it on with your thumb just like that and you can leave it for a second or two then wipe it off it's on the barrels it protects the barrels from rain weather and you can stall the barrels away now I'm going to clean the action q-tips again you've got two rods and live in the Berettas I just put the cue tips in there clean any muck off same thing as this one's got a bit of thread in it clean it all the way inside clean that down there if you get debris in there that can stop you shutting the gun as well that's all clean now I'm going to put a little bit of oil on the q-tip oneís very sparingly put it on the pins then there then there little bit just there and just there I personally I do not put any oil inside these parts where the pins come out this gets into the main part of the action and too much oil in here in the action can make the gun on safe you keep them dry if you need to get into the action take it to a competent gunsmith they can clean the gun inside but yourself don't put you all there because too much oil in there makes a gun dangerous now I'll reassemble the gun type so and when I put it back in the gun safes i will put the gun together and put it upside down if there's any oil in the action then that is oh I've overdone it it will drain out so there's no oil in the main part of the action I put the gun back in the gun case how you put it back in is put the barrels in first you check the butter this is if you're on a shoot or wherever I even indoors you check the barrels to see if there's anything in the gun as you can see it's empty after cleaning i can now shut the gun and put it in the case and zip it up and now it would be stored in the gun case is barrels down this is a one of my other guns is a sable sidelock projector I'll take the barrel off and demonstrate the internals especially the safety take the side off that's off as you can see you've got a hammer and a sheer that can fire the gun at any point of time this is not gotta save Dion now when you have with your safeties the gun is there if you push your safety off the triggers can move but the shears are not on safe they're just on ready to fire if the gun is warm very warm what can happen is that they will go off if it's dropped so you should have the gun checked by a good gunsmith when it starts to get a few years old the other thing is as I was saying don't put oil down the pins firing pins if you have too much oil in here it can build up on the shares and that can cause trouble with going off on its own without putting the safety off so don't put too much oil down the gun they don't need it they should be serviced once a year anyway but to make sure you don't put too much all especially not car in general as I've seen quite a few times because it gums it all up in here and you've got a non-save gun but this will go off I will pull it will go off like that this is the firing pin that comes out and strikes the primer this lever here operates the ejector when the gun is opened as you can see the safety hello the triggers to move when the gun is open with auto safety it locks on the multi choke air barrels please be very careful when you push the rod up through the barrel because your choke is in the corner here they're very thin don't over forth the cleaning rod so you don't damage the inside of it that's about all on this this one's clean I'll see you next time shoot straight be safe you
