New Bushcraft Camp Construction - Site Clearing, Firepit & Bacon Breakfast

Description

I headed to the new Bushcraft Campsite with the old nut to clear the site area, set up a temporary tarp and start building a new camp. Once the area was cleared we set up a pretty cool firepit area. Hope you enjoy - give us your ideas on what we should build here!

new plates in place push craft if you don't lose them in here we're really good at putting a green plate so be some fun wouldn't it so we got scrambled eggs bacon sausage sausage with a precooked pepper on there yeah there was a sauce in there oh yes and first first me what a new Kemp and a plastic traffic baby knife saw the gate seal it's like Oh can't be worse Scandi grind mmm bacon is amazing scrambled eggs always good they also as well in salt and pepper in that one

I'll put for your dashes of Worcestershire as well mmm well guys you might notice that we're in the slightly different woodland I did the video on this a few weeks ago where we've got permission now to basically do some bushcraft and make a little camp in a deciduous woodland which is different because I'm normally always in my coniferous woodlands and the big bushcraft camping you guys know about is obviously there but that's not to say that I'm not gonna do videos there we're still going to do videos there we're still going to improve that camp but so many emails have been coming to you about please can we do one in a deciduous woodland where it's much harder everything is not really as straight as pine which is generally really really straight you know the most of this is as well silver virtually isn't it we've got rhododendron a bit behind us nothing evergreen more of a bush though not so much as a tree but most of the trees in fact I think 80% of the tree here all silver birch and loads of young saplings as well as we're not management exactly is completely unmanaged where we've been given permission where we can manage it a bit and we are allowed to cut down some saplings which will help the bigger trees grow so it's not like you know killing all the trees here no we're helping the other tree's to grow as well but it's so so dental but really nice for a camp all we've done to begin with is just a little fire pit area we saw me and I say that it's like a sacrificial pit area here you can imagine all in the primitive days where they got around the fire to discuss who they were going to torture well who are they going to sacrifice to the gods was bacon woman but yeah for us that was really good yeah yeah this actual woodland is an ancient woodland it's owned by my family anyway and I suddenly thought why are we not using it it's not used at all and what we're sitting on or in fact these huge logs and trees they were cleared or owned 20 ideas over 20 years ago no one believe me has been in here for 20 years they so the names are everywhere as well they're like head-high for every not coming up and raccoons coming up now as well but this so overgrown here and if we did once we get settled down we get a proper camp set up here if we come when it's quiet obviously you know there's play to go overhead we're near London we're not revolving London London is huge it's right in the world so that the flood plains come across quite recognize I think you probably or with Mike comes Erina so we'll get a lot more natural wildlife here probably pictures and say or so than the other than the pie because always more life inside deciduous where it's all green yeah so what we've done is just temporarily put up my torque just because it's been raining today and we wanted to keep the camera gear dry and things like that so I just temporarily sat put up the top and we've cleared the area where the tarp is is where we're going to build a shelter we're not sure on what type and design yet maybe you guys can give us a suggestion we've been thinking maybe a more primitive style shelter like a wigwam or around that kind of base shape we look at the turquoise yeah we're not going to go so much for the lean-to is we've done the lean-to shelters we might go for more of a pointy or a circular hexagonal type shape we're not sure yet so with your suggestions just yeah if you can think of a shelter guys pop it in the comment section in below this video and do let us know your opinions we're always open and we're always reading your comments just to you know see what feedback you guys giving us I'd say we got an unlimited amount of what two inch to three inch wide yes Ilia two-man allies they never fit with the whole overall tree with 15 feet pieces that we could bring maybe we think with web and curved or should we use a larger Ridge Pole an a-frame yen and then that converse in do they do for size I just maybe a world okay person weaving yeah we you know whether they can also pin them down yeah we might do some weaving because it's that sort of green sapling type tree here so who knows we're not sure yet all we know is we've come here for the second time the first time as a recce the second time we've got the fire pit area and we've got the actual camp location yes where we're happy we've got shelter from three sides here weather really got you guys can't see it but all behind the fire and the rest of it is just sapling City it's just trees everywhere so we you know location wise we're plan monthly you'll be okay to drink this is plenty of stinging nettles be staying in nettle tea oh we got we've got this our magic natural cordage from nettles is unreal but you know guys we don't have all the time in the world so yeah we might not be using natural cordage all the time it's probably going to be paracord but either way we're very happy with what we've got it Oh

well we got a team well I've got a coffee gang that's got tea peach girl in his metal no planetís so a mistake go P first earnings go near it

I can't go near it so hot you know it's P kid we spent quite a bit of time clearing today yes that's brought some of his bigger tools with him yeah probably now I probably wouldn't normally bring with me IDC just use my axe and saw and that's that but you've got a big old fill guys - I got you can call them collaboration not on houses yeah but we use these like joint secretary what do you guys call them this sort of thing well I mean that's been going through anything of that gap probably two to three inches diameter maybe a two inch diameter and I'll work my way around intersections cutting and you can really pop things down same thing is guys that's older meeting don't I call this soaring all the time a lot of energy fair yeah why did every she's handy with all the Brack and all the stinging nettles and brambles to get into this clearing trust me the rest of this whole forest site it's not like they have to say on like the NRC we might as a film Yan out there I've got a thing here called a slasher yes it's called a slash I guess I although almost like a yeah but very very low at the edge they'll ground their job it's a sort of a billhook shape but then I have to show you do you know you can get an idea how long is and there's a great big long shot at them in that has been brilliant for clearing the nettle and obviously a distance house you if your dogs running around very good you might have two dogs or if your sons running around standing and take three steps back could be could be towed let everybody know when you're swinging this puppy because it is big and you work you can take down very small one inch happens with it yeah is called a slack slasher is what they called it in your what would you guys look or whatever DIY pods going on here that that's where I'm trying to hit one tree or Sam even another one yeah and I thought I just bet Boeing that for extra strength put a bolt through there holding it's all one piece by the look of it yeah so we're just talking about tools how easy having the right tool is for the job I mean you know look if you're going 20 miles into the backcountry you're not carting all this stuff around but you know I can get those in an axe at carry the rest I knew that would be a help today but basically we were talking about primitivity steel because originally we was an infant tools

yep then they went yeah they moved on like how do they use like forges and things are used to mold the metal yeah but how do they know you know how did they get it out we want to know about how did they get it to iron in the first place what was it seeing nice person yeah you know like we say the primitive man the first person to catch fish first person to make like a high sword like steel steel as well because exactly but I wandering back in the day what did they see mostly in the prehistoric times well obviously dinosaurs I know they saw dinosaurs no but dinosaurs existed before humans and they waited for humans why don't we write around with Dinosaurs well we don't they're right okay great right I mean he'll we were there any like 65 million years ago let's say you a caveman you're the early Neolithic man whatever you are you're hunting you're covered in fur you in a cave because of the volcanic activity around the dinosaur way just one trying to get you even if we weren't there we must have seen maybe molten lava solidifies call and go hard so is that when they thought my god the rocks are melting but when they go hard if we melted certain types of rock II went to steel how did they go out what iron yo and that's our theory you guys tell us yeah where do you think they know obviously they went from iron to steel yeah obviously we realized that later and then more modern metals like composite method yeah it's very first transition but let us know guys this is for those who a new theory time we tend to at the end of our video she's chat about random theory stuff like this and we throw her out there and you guys give us your opinions in the comments section below there's nothing to wacky there's none for stupid really that you can say just pop it in the comment section I don't know what you think will you do is you'll see me drinking this tea in about three films times I can't that all you'll have rubber lips I Angelina Jolie well you just you took us there's nothing what would that girl she's beautiful fuck with my wife where's this this easy what's the world for the month is the wedding let the wedding the weather lady is not effective weather lady yeah Carol the weather lady in England day one for me does the slight that knows the weather so much because he bloody watches it yesterday hello need care was telling me well thank you very much for watching the video guys and I do ask yet I have some overnighters panned I've got three day overnights coming up soon dad you've got most of the fishing we've run another using channel Cloutier fishing yeah which is mostly the old nut yeah you do a lot of fishing on their daily thing we've got a lot of beginner stuff a few old beginners looking for cats and fish head on over to TA fishing because that's where you can find out lots of info here on catching fish yeah we've got some more catching cook videos coming as well this especially summertime a sea species start coming on we've got some big trip any just yet we hope you've got a big trip maybe June time haven't we international yeah yeah yeah so we'll we're not going to spoil it all yet but we've got some really good things coming up Ontario outdoors thank you very much for watching guys and we'll see you soon in the next video you
