3 Day Camping Trip with my new Puppy! | TAOutdoors

I recently took my 3 month old Jack Russell Terrier Puppy "Jaxx" on a 3 day camping trip to the coast. I wanted to show you my camping set up with the Bell Tent and Woodburning stove to accompany it. The area we were camping in was in the beautiful county of Dorset. Jaxx had his first trip to the beach which he loved! In the video I show you my camping setup and I filmed some of the walks that myself, Emmy and Jaxx went on. I hope to be back at the Bushcraft Camp soon! welcome to ta outdoors this is just a short video my note things have been quiet on the bushcraft front and that is because there is a certain new addition to my family which I will show you in a minute but we are currently on with Emmy and we're camping down in Dorset and I've got my Bell tent set up and I just thought I'd show you the setup that I've got we're just taking a couple of days break from everything it's really really nice weather it's about October time so autumns coming in it's very chilly but to save me from the cold I've got a new wood-burning stove in the Belton I've got the pumper stove just here which we've been firing up for the last three nights in a row just show you how it works and I'll do it properly at some point we'll do a video on it but basically yet that's the entrance the stove the last tray there and it all packs away all the flue sections pack away into the stove itself so it's really really portable which I like and that's the stove there and then we have Emmie and there's a certain little someone I believe yes this Jessie and that is our new puppy called jacks hello jacks he's a Jack Russell Terrier he's three months old so he's quite young to come company but we've kept him warm with the with the stove going and he's had his first day at the beach as me which he loves and we're going to take him on a little walk today up the little cliff coastal walk and then we're gonna take him home because he is one tired puppy he's had lots of different walks and probably done more than any other three-month-old dog has done this is Jax he'll probably featuring a few more videos definitely i'll taken to the bushcraft camp and once he's old enough and well trained i can get him in the bushcraft videos so a few of you might be thinking is this safe having a stove in your tent not just because of see Sparks and the flames but also with poisonous gases such as carbon monoxide well i have it covered because we've got the the fireman the heatmap down here and actually the stove the way it's designed with the legs the heat doesn't actually it kind of stops here and these legs always stay cold so it never gets hot down on the legs here these legs also fold up on it's all portable but there's the heat proof map which comes with it from the Neve a company and that's very very handy even when you're cooking on it we cooked on it last night just board up some pasta and Bolognese and you can put your heat proof you can put your pot hot pot pans and pots and things on the heat proof map and then another thing I've got which is well it says there lifesaver it really is this is just a carbon monoxide alarm which we put sort of near our heads just in case there is a leak of carbon monoxide and we've got something to back us up with that and then in the corner over here I have fire blanket just a one by one meter fire blanket and also a small I think it's about a 600 gram fire extinguisher and you can see there it's it's sort of got the ratings of ABC a being wooden fire and B and C a more kind of gas and things like that but it's covered and it's got the right it's the right tool for the job in case obviously something did happen but hopefully it wouldn't because we're being sensible down here as well we have a few jars this is something we saw some other company a couple years ago but you can put these tea lights in a jar and it also not only does it keep your sort of tea light safe but it also the glass reflects lots of the light so it actually ends up producing quite a good amount of light really good camping hat for you guys out there I got the extra the flashing kit that can kayak you can get with the the frontier stove from the anyway website really really important just helps basically keep all heat from burning your canvas in the tent you just pin it through a punch a few holes in it and it works on some wing nuts and just a bolt and wing nut and it pinches all together and that not only entry to keeps your pipe insulated but it also prevents your canvas from being damaged over here I also have an extra awning and that is just purely to give us a bit of room in there in the summer months so we can just sit out and if it gets a bit cold we've still got a bit of room you know if it's raining and things we've still got room outside to there to enjoy the view could you ask about make him out a couple of days I see you jacks are you gonna come in here Jess come Tess come he's too warm and tired Jax come we're working on training at the moment you can do a couple of things Jax come he comes Jess come good boy come on let's come Jess come come to the camera Jax Hey he's so tired Jess come Jess come yeah he's not coming he's too tired don't blame him it's nice and warm in there say hey Jax say hello to the people on YouTube or give him a few fleas later yes gone Oh dolly stretch mm-hmm
