hi I would do today guys this is William March minutes outdoors been getting a lot of PM's on my Facebook and emails asking me what I carry on a day-to-day basis when a mount who was and things like that so I thought today that's what I was gonna show you don't go away all right guys so this is my neck knife and I think the most questions I get is about this you know if I should carry a neck knife why do I carry neck knife looks like it gets in the way things like that you know I'm used to them I've been wearing them for probably five six years now they can if you're if you're doing something bending over they could kind of swing around and stuff like that but they don't really I don't mind them too much but this knife is first of all the leather work is from voyager leather works and you can look him up on Facebook he is one a heck of another guy does all my other stuff for me but the knife itself is the frontier valley from blind horse knives and this is my go-to knife you know I used my my bigger knives a lot but I find myself using this knife for a ton of things and this knife even though that it's small it obviously it's razor sharp this is my favorite knife but this knife has been through just this knife and a grassroots Brook axe has been completely through probably 1012 deer so this this thing is a workhorse and it's really great for a little finer task finer skinning I use this for squirrel if I'm actually trying to keep the hide but we're going to do some videos about that later on too this knife is really really great for for small carvings making notches in sticks making figure for deadfall traps things like that it's really if you have the opportunity to pick one of these up I think there are $70 from blind horse noise I would definitely definitely advise you to do that but furthermore on the back of the of the knife I have gorilla taped a sail needle and a regular needle sometimes you know I have things that don't really call for a sail needle I just need a regular regular needle and that sail needle is magnetized to act as an improvised compass as well so moving on from my neck knife gun throw that back on so moving on from my neck knife always carry a Leatherman Wave you know in the real meat and potatoes this is the pliers obviously but I like the I like the knife that it has on it you know if I'm looking to save my edges on my other knife this thing is ridiculously easy to shave and it is absolutely sharp I mean like it's taking real fine curls off my fingernail stays sharp I could shave but this freaking thing if I had to if I'm looking to save the edges on my other blade so I'll go to this bait for a mighty little task and for striking a feral rod I just did a video where I'm scraping fat wood with this thing and the saw itself for making a fire board making notches in fire boards for friction fire and things like that the sole is really comes in handy the file I don't really use that too often the serrated edge nestling serrated edge whoops the serrated edge on here is practically unused at all I really I'd love to be able to swap that out with something else I just i don't use serrated edges ever the like I said the meat potatoes of this tool is the pliers itself but you know every now and then the scissors come in handy and you know the screwdrivers come in handy for some things you know obviously for screw driving but for for pliers and for pliers as implying prying things up I use the can opener quite often obviously to open up cans but to punch holes and things and stuff like that too so this tool gets ripped out of my pocket quite often so moving on from there step back always carry a nice leather belt this belt was made by deep woods hand crafts he is a heck of a heck of a leather guy you know I advise you to look him up as well as boy short leather works but this belt not only does keep the pants up but keeps my knife on it and I use this for tool sharpening for leather strop stropping so put that back here my keys you guys wanted to see everything that I keep on me and my keys right now the wife has the car keys she's using the car but always keep a pretty decent Hank of 550 cord and too big Hank's of bank line I think this is number six or number nine is number nine always keep a whistle on my keys other than that the carabiners aren't really used for much I always keep a lighter on me you know why not keep it simple stupid this is my main knife and again the leather is from voyager leather works this is my pride and joy I absolutely love this rig comes with a Ferro rod holder that I just have a army model light my fire on here just served me well obviously you can see that thing is just tore up dude but uh I've had that thing for probably almost two years now I always keep a whistle on my main knife the knife itself is the PLS k1 Pathfinder school edition knife great knife I'm not going to sit here and tell you all about it there's plenty of reviews on it razor sharp things the workhorse

inside the knife itself inside the sheath is a little cubby for my Pathfinder spear point that honestly doesn't come out of there very often at all suitable backup blade now inside the compartment I have enough sassafras root to make a decent little cup oh yeah maybe two cups of tea I have some chalk in here enough to make tea and this is really premium chaga this stuff take I can make a flint and steel spark like this stuff up that's how premium that stuff is really really good chaga always keep two wet fire cubes in here those things are sold I've heard I've seen some stuff on YouTube about if they get old they don't work but you know I haven't had any problems with it and then I keep a bunch of miscellaneous flakes of flint in here these things are absolutely razor sharp when they come off and you know these would be these would work in a pinch for Flint steel especially this one but in my bag I have another really good Honka of flint for that

let me put all this stuff away and then we'll get to my a belt pouch you expressed

you

alright guys this is my belt pouch and again this was made by a deep ones hand craft and I think you guys by now I'm starting to see kind of a pattern going on here tap my stuff is made by all my sheets are made by vorel other works some other things are made by deep loads hand crafts they're in my opinion they're two of the best leather workers that are out there that I have had experience with I'm sure there are tons of other ones out there that are just as good and maybe some that are even better but my experience with both those companies are very very very good so contents this always on top I keep my headlamp so I can access it pretty quickly and I just keep this in a pouch with a spare set of batteries in the bottom of that pouch and it's the Princeton tech I really like this one it's really really bright I can't remember what the lumens is on it I might have to google that real quick and put that in the annotations but it comes in except lenses on it that you can really quickly flip it from red to a regular light it says are really easy to change in and out and on the headband it comes with a little clip that heat keeps an extra lens I just keep the green one in there I really don't use the blue this thing's got three different settings on it you know low medium and high and it's got an SOS blink on it so that's pretty important to me but this thing it's all I need I don't need you know 7,000 million candlepower freaking spotlight you know I don't need any of that stuff man I don't even carry any other flashlights on me except for a Coleman flashlight every now and then I got for Father's Day but this thing this is all I need you know this is plenty for for what I need you know whether I'm I'm out frog gigging at night or or what-have-you

so good put that away like I said I got an extra set of batteries in the bottom of this as well all right let's keep on going in here I got a couple sharpening methods in here I really like this new girl stone this is really made for making a slurry on top of Japanese wet stones water stones that is but I find that it's it's such a light grit that it it really polishes nice pretty well on its own on in just the slurry that it makes by itself I got one of those little cheapy diamond rods in here works pretty well and this is a I think it's an Arkansas I'm not really sure this is one of the the fine stones I dropped it and broke it but it still works just fine so that's my tool maintenance kit pretty much for the most part I have a regular natural animal fats like deer tallow and stuff like that and burly palm even you know that's tough I'll do a review on that soon I hate to mention it in that video but I have it in here in anyway this is my Ferro rod one of the the main ones that I use this thing is so freaking big that it'll probably last I'll probably pass this thing on to my kids you'll see the striker that is on it like I said I usually don't carry any strikers but my buddy Chris Tanner gave me this and you know I'm not going to be rude and not carrying it but I'll tell you this thing throws a bloody shower of sparks I mean that's just ridiculous so uh do I burn up my wool blanket there uh but yeah I usually don't carry Strykers but I'm pretty I'm pretty impressed with that but my theory on that is it's just one more piece of gear for me to lose but I got it tied to there with a care of a little carabiner that came off of one of my summit titanium mess kit like fork or something like that yeah the UH this is actually a fire kit within itself you know the tape I use it as a handle but that can be shredded down and a caught fire a kid take a spark we'll do a video about that soon there are I believe Dave Canterbury from wilderness Outfitters he did a do about that you'll have to probably have to search through them it's pretty old video but the lanyard on this is jus cordage

that's two-ply reverse wrapped just to act as a lanyard that's also a tinder bundle within itself but that's why that's all together like that plus it you know it serves as a lanyard and a handle I got some phat wood in here just tied up with some cotton so not only is this something to keep my fatwood together but it's also cotton I can make char cloth out of if I really need to I'm not going to open that up so I just literally just did a fat way video I got some more 550 cord this is what I usually use for my ridgeline that believe it or not that's good I think it's 18 or 19 foot in there I got some more jute cordage in there and I know I got some more portage in here it's just finding it no thought I had some bank line in there I might have put it on my keys actually but ok so we got the the bank line and the Juke cordage always keep my compass with me on me around me just might as well it this one's multi-use for the the lens right there I have trouble with this lens getting a fire out of it but it's not like it's impossible I have done it before but in my haversack kit I have a magnifying lens that's on it you know every time it's really really a high-powered so this might not be the highest power but I have got it to work and I believe it was golden on old Golden Rock that I got it to go but I used the mirror on it you know check myself for ticks things like that places that I can't see with my eyeballs and obviously I use it for the compass and I just throw that in this this little pouch here to protect it I got this live fire here from NorCal survival I actually really like this stuff you know if you like this stuff up keep it kind of close and then keep a watch on it you can slowly progress it it acts almost like a candle yup just open the thing all the way up it'll burn really hot for a half an hour you'll definitely be getting a fire going the only problem with this I find though you know if I have this in there I'm getting a fire going you know retrieving it can be a hassle sometimes but you know it's just one of those things you take to get with the bat and I always got some some kind of a lubricant of some kind in my bag this is burly bomb use it for tool maintenance sometimes I keep fixing waxing here but I've been checking this product out for a while obviously you can tell because the things almost empty I like to get up you know or jaimib early and get some more this stuff is awesome man

I might as well talk about now the the ingredients to this is coconut oil plant Tang and I have to get in touch with him I'm pretty sure that's probably blunt broad leaf or narrow leaf plantain pining you vitamin E and beeswax this stuff has probably a hundred one uses a thousand in one uses from tool maintenance to you know I've been put it on any kind of little wound like this I get or anything like that and I find that it speeds up my healing time I know what my regular healing time of my body is and I find that it almost cuts it almost in half speeds it up a little bit quicker

it's got like I said it's got a 101 uses and obviously now that I'm down to do in a video of it I can only think to but you know I use it on my lips when I'm getting chapped lips you know I just can't I can't really think of everything that I use for it but I use all the time I'm always finding little reasons to put it on or to use it or you know there's always there's always something for use but that's what I carry on my body this is what I use on a daily basis when I'm out in the woods just hammering around that's the you know without my my haversack kit which includes you must steel bottle and other things like that my shelter my rain gear and stuff like that so I don't always need to carry a huge hunk of 500 pound pack on the back you know sometimes if I'm just pulling out for a day or two I could put enough food and my other resources in my haversack and I could just go out with just what's on my body in my haversack kit all right guys well this is what I carry on me every day when I'm out in the woods thanks for viewing thanks for all your comments thanks for all your support we'll see you on wood alright guys so this is what best music alright alright guys is we Mars I know I do

I love you I already short on cameras on so don't miss him anymore yeah check out yeah I don't mess with me come on ah you're mad you made a face goodness my manners alright yeah number of upset promise who is William Irish Menace outdoors been getting a lot of emails and private messages on Facebook asking me asking me asking asking asking me they were asking me okay really serious man
