hi guys doing today this week Mars mass outdoors today I've had a couple requests about the duct tape tinder bundle and that's what we're gonna do today don't go away alright guys this is Gorilla Tape everybody in the bushcraft world pretty much knows about gorilla tape and its advantages great tape you know there's no better in my mind so one of the key things to it is that it could also be used as fire so I'm going to get up into the camera try to at least i'm going to show you guys with you don't have to use a multi-tool for this you know if you have even a little bit of fingernail just slightly pinched let's forget that camera slightly pinched just the very very very little tiny bit not even a sixteenth of an inch and just hold it right there okay and then very aggressively just rip down and that's enough that's pretty much the size that you want you don't want to go very much bigger than that you can put bigger pieces but the majority of what you want is going to be that small you know these are what's going to light and then they'll like the bigger pieces so let's go down here to the stump and put everything together okay alright guys so I put about two eight or nine inch strips and I stripped it off into smaller pieces and put that together one of the key things that I don't want to do is I don't want to get to stay into a tight ball I want all those little hairs that are exposed I want to mention something about safety when working with this stuff if this is where your lighting your fire and you're not moving this stuff then great but if you're going to like this and then move it into your fire or if you're lighting this away from where your fire is going to be lit then use some kind of a stick or something like that you don't want to actually touch the stuff once it's on fire cuz if it sticks to you then you're going to get a nasty little burn so just kind of stick it to a stick stick it to a stick really and then when it does get lit then you can throw it into your fire or what have you so let's go ahead pick a really good spot I'm looking for those hairs that are exposed right there I think that's a pretty good one right there so we're going to dig out Farrell rock and drop everything else let's see if we can get this lit pretty quick you got it no I actually I do yep alright guys so as you can see it's lit and it's basically molten plastic so like I said if you were to grab this to try to pulse it into your fire you just suffer a pretty nasty burn but you know as you can see you can see the black smoke rolling off of this it can they be used for signaling if you had a goblin you know a really good job of this but this is going to burn for a pretty long time and the other advantage of using a stick like this is 1 this is dried out senior this is just going to go chuckling beggar you know the advantages of using a stick like this one this is just dried out you know really dead dry cedar and it's just going to burn with the stick so you know I just use it for tender as well too you know I'm not going to get burnt I'm not going to drip this on me i'm not going to stick this to my finger or anything like that so it's been a really quick video showing you guys the duct tape tinder bundle all right guys let's spin William ours minutes outdoors hope you enjoy the video and if you did I appreciate if you click Subscribe it's a little red button right there at the bottom of the screen like in my video helps me a lot appreciate all reviews comes to sport and hopefully we'll see you out in the woods
