hey guys doing this William Myers from Addis outdoors today we're going to be continuing in our trapping series and this is gonna be another primitive trap and right now I'm going to show you some more disperse Attila T as far as that wide stick goes so like I said in the previous video when I showed you the versatility of that basic twitch up snare you don't really have to use a wide stick if you can find something in nature that pretty much recreates that that's all the better that's just one step you don't have to do and near the water's edge a lot of times you're gonna find little things like that you just gotta keep an eye out for it right now we have a grapevine that comes into the ground and it's really really sturdy into the ground and it's just perfect for one more little basic trap push up snare so let's go over here see what we got alright guys so this is another basic snare I wanted to show you guys this basic snare because it utilizes something that occurs in nature this great fun here which a lot of times you can find this at the water's edge so if you're using this as a push it up tool for fishing and we're going to show you how to do that here in a second as well but this snare is very very easy to sticks if you found something that you can utilize the nature great if not then you're just going to create a Weisner or something like that but all that happens here is you're really gonna have to funnel your animal when using something like this because as you can see the snare is basically right here which is very easy to do actually just kind of clean your space out a little bit of like rocks and debris and things like that and then make debris around your snare animals are just like we are they don't like to step on rocks they don't like to step on sticks and things like that they like to go around things rather than go through them just like we are so the long and the short of this is I just want to get to the demonstration of this snare is something steps in here comes up to your bait stick to grab a bite of this and there you go obviously a lot heavier than a raccoon or a possum so I'm gonna keep this narrow down but if this was a raccoon or possum it'd probably be up here suspended in air somewhere alright guys so let's reset this and show you how to use it as far as fishing goes alright guys so pretty much the same thing in the previous video basically imagine that this wasn't a snare but it was a fishing line so you know hook line and sinker basic catfish setup and it could be like I said 20 30 whatever you feel you need 5 10 foot as long as you're on what you think are the catfish alright guys so what we're basically going to do is just like this loop it around the bait stick one more and there we go got a clove hitch just like that

same principle this gets casted out into the water you wrap it around the handle over here catfish grabs it baits thick sets the hook for you and there you go
