Description

I head 5 hours north to spend 4 days camping in the mountains of the Lake District. I camp above the tree line on a ridge by a lake, in the woods, and down in a river valley. I go fishing, swimming and hiking over the 4 days. I stay in my one man tent, and in the roof top tent on the truck. Come and join me on this Lake District Camping adventure. let's go on an adventure to a land rich with color where mountains stretch as far as the eye can see and rivers carve their way through ancient valleys the air is cold fresh and the weather can change in the blink of an eye a vast landscape where nothing but a narrow scree path is all that guides you to the peaks of England come and join me on this four day trip to the Lake District National Park where I spend multiple nights camping high above the treeline deep in the woods and down in a valley amongst the shadows of the mountains

after a five-hour drive to the northwest of England I met up with my friend and fellow youtuber paise outlaws as soon as I arrived we set out on the hike up to one of the mountain lakes to find a spot to camp and chill out I had with me my 60 liter pack which was full of camping fishing and filming gear we found a flat place with a 360-degree view of the area so he pitched the tents and made our way down to the lake to have some beers and go for a swim so I'm here in a late district with a small time behind me it's a little bit windy I'm here with hazy from haze outdoors so the plan is we're literally just come to chill for night hazy Sun an absolute hero job and brought later kindling up we're gonna go for a swim we're gonna do some fishing am I gonna have some beer to a good campout Cheers did we just seen some sort of mammal we don't quite know about is up on that Ridge just uh there could be a sheet could be a deer we don't know if I'm gonna fly the drone I bought the drone with me this is why my backpack so big it's bolt up with gear hopefully we can get some nice cinematic shots because it's here in the north of England which let's face it is pretty stunning so see what we can film [Music]

brought this thing shot I packed my slingshot as well so yeah just great minds think alike we got some this is about our distance near where this sort of driftwood is slingshot targets up against this Bank up there with a towel to catch the ball bearings we just gonna give it a go to see what happens really not many people doing slingshots

I follow up in the hills in the Lake District in fact we're the only people to get a therm arrest and swim to an island bring some kindling up a few hundred feet up the hills and these same shots go and subscribe to Hays outdoors you won't regret it pazi's up with it with a single band single thera-band gold or do you know it's quite distance actually I saw that dip yeah feeling refreshed after a swim myself and hazy had a go with the slingshots for a few more hours despite our accuracy being slightly impaired by the beers we hit a few titties and then headed back up to camp to get a fire guy and cook up some grub [Music]

so we got the some lamb steaks people is it Lamia yellow minted minted lamb what else would and this is a bush boss because I've not seen these before I've got the fire box I should have no sponsor by the way but this is their this is some be jeweled couscous that's a little watery cousin called Hayes I put a little bit too much worried there we go folks minted lamb Haley Scott's on the mark here curse curse minted lamb I've got some more lamb steaks on the bushbox result with our stomachs full of both food and beer we were content life was good I hadn't realized how much I needed a trip like this to immerse myself in a completely different environment to what I'm used to you gave me a real sense of adventure heading into the unknown and created long lasting memories but for now it was time to sleep [Music]

good morning everyone this is a beautiful scene to wake up thee and there is little hazy he's down there on his way for his morning swim it is a fine day there's actually no wind it's all up here which is just crazy I've never known it the lakes with no wind it's like well tired but it slept well there's a dog barking somewhere and one of the other other tents this is stunning the Sun's up it's just a awesome tensor tents are still they're still hanging in there's no there was no wind so they did a stellar job I just kept you off us this morning but one of the deals get the drone up I've got a nice camera shadow on the face that's really amateur I'm gonna do is get their drone out film hazy is he swimming around because I really want to get more drone shots and then we're gonna get the brush box going again get fire going and cook up some some breakfast where it's hazy slot for me so I'm in for a bit of a tree [Music]

winds picked up we've got some overcast clouds which is good for fishing and get some spinners out and hopefully try and catch something we don't know yet it's the clarity is fairly dark in the water it's not amazing clarity but something like a spinner should be alright it's nice and flashy but it feels like it almost looks like looks like it's gonna rain doesn't it haze but we should be all right it's high cloud isn't it yeah I got this pack yesterday from millets I think it was 30 quid it's one of the Euro hike

yeah the euro hot bike Pathfinder to 65 litre pack on 165 later because I've got the drone and I've got we've got the fishing gear as well so we've bought a lot of kind of extra gear that we wouldn't normally bring but it's handy it's got this sleeping bag compartment underneath in the bottom wait I just put all the sleeping gear by species pad and that just all zips up nice and easy and it's handy to know that I get all my sleeping bag gear there there's also a rain cover underneath orange one which is handy if you're a mountain you need to be rescued but hopefully we won't need to use that then it's got two large side pockets and I really like having big periscopes they're big large side pockets on a bag it's much easier same the other side it's got walking pole holders here but I use it as a fishing rod nice padded back to it adjustable back system test strap hip strap or waist strap and that's adjustable as well and then a big big dump pocket here at the top just put things like phone keys and then just one main compartment everything don't worry about strapping too much on the outside of it then we come down to the Tom we're gonna get some water now because we've pretty much run out I'm just using the the Sawyer mini filter but Hays has got pretty cool filter as well which I want to show you guys this is what I'm using I've switched from the soil mini to the MSR and it's just so much more faster what what we'll do is if Mike uses his and I'll use man we can do a little speed test again and just see which is quicker but it is as simple as dunking it in into the water and then squeezing once it starts to cool water in drink straight from that now yeah you should take it wherever you want to go so you put that into your bottle do you normally go straight into here that's awesome yeah and you're good to go and so then then you've got a refill it as well

so much quicker than it good to say on camera as well your boy Mike can handle his own when it comes to the real al I thought I'd be outdone with the huge veil but yeah so fatter we initially left we did we got two left out of all those beers it's pretty good yeah pretty good going and compos mentis the next day that's the man yeah so cheers for that one standard five piece rod for me a little the mirror one that I used in the coastal fish you never say we're just gonna throw some spinners aren't we ready it'll be very well fish but very small fish nothing that no captured cooks or anything like that it's yeah you'd be chuffed with something over a pound definitely but there'll be pristine absolute pristine fish if we can get yeah when they were the real deal there is yeah no pressure till now I've got braid this is my lure fishing reel from sea fishing I'm fortunate I just I've just left the braid on there so I've got I'm tired little mono leader I probably got fluorocarbon I think I've got eight pound fluorocarbon so I just put a fluorocarbon leader on it but that's obviously eaten into fishing time I'm just letting the blade spin yeah as long as it's spinning in the water yeah buddy come on is any smooth AUSA brownie I think it's a brown trout that's the most pristine English brown trout look at that the dots on that man stunning I've had three bites you know and they're quite finicky though that is absolutely incredible and that was on your map silver that's a clear next number zero that accident that mad well done well done I didn't think we catch lively us yes it knuckles yeah

well hey Z - Scott himself his first town fish it's on his camera it's little little perch but what a stunner wasn't it it was honestly one of the best the compared to B for tiny tiny perch but awesome awesome the Kylie Minogue it was a real wild fish that one sadly we're gonna pack up though cuz I've got to start planning for now or the next overnighter because I've got two more nights out here so yeah I gotta get back plan for the next seven I took it to change some gear over and then get back out there but we're just gonna enjoy this good weather take a nice stroll back down the mountain no rush and just enjoy it enjoy a good weather both caught fish you've had the perch of add a little trout I mean highlight seen the drone and catching them fish we've basically we've done everywhere everything we wanted to come and do I know we know I've not done loads of filming but you know you were saying this in your video it's been much more of it we wanted to enjoy the experience than we had just not sort of have the cameras out too much and you've got to keep it real I guess if you've just met someone for the first time it's a bit weird just making videos to scan with a camera it's like oh yeah so let's just get over the min time makes me brilliant it's been awesome thanks so much buddy I hope you guys enjoyed it and you need to go and check out Hayes outdoors there's a link in the description go and subscribe to his channel you won't regret it do lower your expectations there [Music]
