hey hey guys doing this William Mars mess outdoors back at you in another video and in today's video we're kind of doing my side of a video that we did on Chris's channel prepared my 101 and that is on the quick hatch Huntsman a very very good knife that I was thoroughly impressed with and you know not very often do I do this you know Chris just kind of gives me a knife it says hey let's cut this let's do you know some some stuff with this knives tell me what you think on his video and with this knife I was like dude you're gonna let me borrow that and I'm gonna do my own video on it because I liked it that much it's you it's bigger beefier then you know something I usually use but just when I was using it with Chris's video on Chris's video I really really enjoyed using this knife we have put this thing I've used this knife for about what three months now since your video every now Margar than that well I said on a shelf for about a month while I was doing a lot of hours at work but uh you know breaking this thing out of renown man and it's still absolutely razor-sharp just dropping it every now and then when I when I really feel the edge kind of leaving straps back up like that this thing is a dynamite blade in my opinion alright so let's get to it see what it does on some wood one of the unique things about this knife is the handle you can see it has a very unique cutaway design to this handle that in the forward grip like this is incredibly comfortable

it definitely fills your palm of your hand and like I said it's very comfortable

and also just sliding down two fingers for like maybe some light chopping some small stuff etc it just sucks in your hand like a vacuum and just is very secure locked in it's not going to go anywhere even without lanyard even though you know if you're really gonna get aggressive in your chopping you should probably have some kind of a lanyard but you know we got some Stolte small saplings over here that we want to chop down really quick for some dental wood that need to be taken out of the woods anyway because they're suffocating out so putting that lower grip very easy not a 3-inch sapling so I mean this knife could absolutely take something way bigger than this but you know this is what I want to use we go back to the old spot and find some logs that aren't marshmallows they had this thing talking to obviously talking to the maker designers kind of it's kind of like an S mix tile that's like you know the genesis of his design this couldn't be further away from asmik than a tom brown tracker for love God you know other than the fact that this got the head that hold that start of a butcher's knife kind of thing right there which is obviously what what George Washington Sears started out with but that again - another thing is the Scandia on this thing is not your average candy this thing is high high high high so what that does is it takes that like our normal scandi would be like this a high skinny brings that edge more pointy which so let's slender I can't talk right now okay I got like something my throat hmm but anyways it's lenders that up that edge up that grind up so I mean over time with a regular scandi over time sharpening on me a long time it brings that edge like this kind of with or with a scandi that is high like that it does the same thing but it takes more time for it to get that high pyramid shape

I'm trying to say basically but this thing like I said is razor-sharp and it's out of the box like that no modifications no nothing like that extremely sharp blade and this thing is extremely comfortable to use I really enjoy working with this knife that's one of the reasons why basically I took it from scratch like yeah you're gonna I'm doing a video on this you're gonna hear yeah this is coming home with me but you know not only that but you know it's uh fucking notches out and something like this you don't even need more Tevan really need to put on a notch and that's a good thing about that upswing that right there you just really rock this back and forth and get through the fibers of the wood and then even though this is a big knife the way that the points designed is you can really come in here with a thumb assist and gently take that notch out you know just because a beefy big blade doesn't mean it doesn't have some finesse to it because this knife most definitely does

nice notch for joining literally in like 10 seconds this nice fast to work with makes things efficient just a joy to work with this knife I really really really like this no even in the reverse grip this thing is really comfortable in the root Bruce grip he designed it that way I actually spoke to him for quite a while and it this knife is designed for forward grip reverse grip and like I said it's really it's really comfortable in the reverse grip for like chess levers and that's a lot on the typical right there that guy just took off so even finesse cuts in reverse grip and out if you look at the back of the knife the way that this nut the spine sweeps it's just perfect for putting into your knee getting those cuts stabilizing the knife so the knife's not moving the only thing that's moving is the wood getting some very nice cuts that way it's not uncomfortable into the knee even if I'm digging in for some really nice chunks of wood this is just one of those knives that in my opinion it has it all it has pretty much jack-of-all-trades its kind of thing going on with it looking at the cutting edge of this knife it has a fairly straight cutting surface that kind of sweeps back a little bit which means it gives you that straight edge up till about here of nothing but cutting surface for detailed cuts things like that and then slicing you know coming up into here and getting those slices out you're not gonna run out of blade anytime soon that's for sure but this is one of the keepers in my opinion Chris has is Jessica list I don't know what I'm gonna have to come up with if I did this would be in it now now we have to come up with something all right guys just a really short video on this you know if you guys didn't catch the video that me and Chris did a couple months back on this just make you guys aware of this company smaller knife maker but quality knife maker I mean the liners the scales mosaic pens aesthetically pleasing and also a very serviceable blade incredible in my opinion and I don't I don't give that title to very many things and I will give that to this this knife is incredible I really really like it so there you guys go a quick hatch Hut spin pick one up if you guys are able to links will be in the description below if you okay I was looking for the links there below hi guys will hope you enjoyed the video if you did I appreciate you give me a like subscribe if you already haven't I appreciate all reviews comments and support and hopefully see analyst

so yeah there you go guys just a really quick video showing you guys on my you know some of you guys aren't on prepared by 101 yet because it did three two one
