ready to have some fun in the woods it's about three degrees Fahrenheit today in Wisconsin which means it's a great day to get out and have some fun exercising a lot of people consider the winter to be time to a hibernate but I'm a flip side it's probably the best time of the year to get into awesome shape first of all what is primal fitness or fitness in general have to do with bushcraft well a lot better shape your body is in the more you can trust it then the world opens up new possibilities for you you've become a confident swimmer that river becomes something you can swim across instead of an impassable barrier a really big hill like we'll look at in the moment here doesn't look so intimidating you know you can get up to the top without having a heart attack so getting yourself in shape it's just a great way to open up more of this terrain for your exploration

two warnings if you will number one is obviously keep things within your within your fitness level you fitness-wise you always want to push yourself a little bit but don't be throwing yourself into situations where are you gonna get injured number two this sneaks up on people more when you're out like this doing some really high intensity stuff in the woods you're gonna get hot you're gonna get sweaty you're probably gonna get wet make sure you're not too far from home I'm only about five minutes from home here so I know I can get back right away and get one you sweat you're really hot and sweaty and then you have a long walk back you're gonna get really cold and you might be battling with hypothermia make sure you have a house or warm car waiting for you shortly after your workout so primal fitness is all about getting out of the gym which I personally consider to be totally boring and starting to lose use our bodies out in nature this is the ultimate gym and what we really have to do here is develop an eye for the terrain instead of looking for the easiest way through the terrain we're looking for the toughest way terrain I could walk down around there jog down around there it's a nice downslope not too much in my way but if I look here there's all kinds of great stuff in my way looking over this way I can see the terrain Rises and there's some great workouts waiting for me over there so I'm developing an eye for rough terrain you also call this woods park or no we don't forget extreme with it but as we're looking around learning to see we're in the enviro we can have fun this hill looks like it's gonna give quite a challenge especially with stuff to climb over on the way not gonna take long for you to start getting really hot can shed your clothes but make sure you remember where you put it it's easy to lose them ha

think over under balancing across any time you see nice flat open ground shun it find something it looks more challenging

you're gonna have a boss out here give it a try let me know anything have a great adventure you
