all right hi everybody I'm sitting here with our forest monks this is bad Garrett Arin and about ten thousand mosquitoes yeah

and today I thought this would just be a little

Stemper aeneas is up there were just wanted to share a little bit about what they've been experiencing so far yesterday you guys we we were gonna set up this tarp you can't see it's right over here and me as we are sitting there talking kind of beginning our session this storm was rolling in by the time we got to the tarp it hit us pretty hard there was lightning there's some pretty high winds for a while and the kind of rain that just as soon as you were out and it instantly soaks you then we tried to get this tarp up and that was an adventure in itself and then we tried to start a fire underneath that tarp let me get this tick off here yeah and so to me what I noticed there with you guys is that that was you've all been wrestling with dealing a frustration you know with the mosquitos if a lot of the challenges and tasks that's something that could have just gotten us in a really bad place I mean everybody's cold our ropes were breaking everything was kind of going it down them not-so-great paths for a little bit how did you guys deal with that because you seem to actually be kind of having fun yesterday well yesterday would the rain like that she felt like a relief being wet like a natural shower like I started to get cold a little bit after it started but like actually that was rather fun really and when I got the fire going it was uh that felt like mega cozy I really liked that actually we had to work for that fire yeah so like just letting it all go and just getting into it like it could have gone into my tent or whatever and yeah so like just like when you guys needed some something to prop up the tent way I just threw my shorts did it in my boxes and so like yeah just letting it come to you and not resisting is the key to not getting angry in a situation about you uh I would easily get angry before but and it was really cold but it's really cold but yeah actually I don't know just dealing with getting a job done best no focus on that helped you know the strength that is about yeah nice nice yeah you got it you got it [Applause]

yeah get on top there there keep pressure on my neck that's good Wow is this strength life change so we're now what about the mosquitoes you guys I mean mosquitoes aren't these are super intense this year and I know you've all gone and you just arrived so you're kind of just jumping into that gauntlet what's that process been like for you I guess I'm slowly slowly starting to get more used to them but I'm almost like in a constant state of like itching in some way yeah definitely the biggest challenge here is the mosquitoes like yeah I mean also trying to get the fire started that day when they went to the town oh yes also a big challenge but what made it even harder was just the mosquitoes they were like constantly eating me while I was so you're trying to get it going as mosquitoes were all over you yeah yeah like terrible actually I ever chewed into the cabin I just felt like I needed to a little bit well yeah I hope either they'll let up a little bit or like I'll just get a little more tolerance for them skis yeah I feel like there's such good teachers like I want to wear shorts for like the same time it likes to be silly chief they do yeah yeah and you're reacting a lot nuts stuff every bite yeah that's like a right how does it funded yeah so maybe it's smart it just keeps a lot wearing long it was four down so my experience with the mosquitos has been just to I guess the same thing with the tarp is just learning to let them be because like you're never gonna escape them they're always gonna be you they're like you're not gonna kill all of them so just like yeah what you said yesterday

like them I think don't think that it's temporary things like they're there forever and this is the rest of my life so I can't wait until they are gone till they die down a little bit yeah are you glad what am i serious hi they were really frustrating at first but I'm starting to get trying to get used to them and let them just appear invite me and not care about it how do you do that because it's a lot of people are gonna be saying oh I just heard a cub have a will to do it and knowing that I'll make my experience done you're better if I can just get rid of it not not worry about those sceetos like they'll be like I said they'll be here forever but if I can just learn to deal with that and not let it make me angry good happen cuz I'm gonna be a i'll be irritated out here the whole time about here cuz they're all out there mm-hmm all the time so yeah I think wait if you know like try and keep mosquitoes off of you without using anything I think you're just gonna have to focus your mind like not itching or like not know doing what I'm doing right now like moving your hands and stuff like just be present in a moment or something yeah it helps we're talking about yesterday how Dustin has that theory that if I'm reacting a lot it's yeah I'm raising my metabolism maybe even kind of raising my histamine response yeah and in a way you know and I'd really feel like when I see people going like this and we get more panicky we start breathing more than they're attracted to that yeah that co2 that were released that attracts ya the person that's thrashing definitely attracts and the scale is in but Wow do you wish there God nah like you know like it just teaches you so many things I'd like without those lessons being there it seemed kind of like empty in a way like like you know that one person at work or like at school you just like giving you a hard time they're kind of like that thing yeah antagonizing force the teacher but not a friendly loving them I would say like the mosquitos are the one thing that like tells me to count down the days yeah it's been challenging food you're using you guys aren't using any notebooks for bugs there or anything doesn't really work and you got it on that is not where he had 100 hundred percent a single page at once so mindset is kind of our best mosquito repair not repellant right yeah it comes in the stage just like I couldn't stand him at all at first now I can't I don't care if they're on my legs when I'm wearing shorts there's a bunion I throw my legs or sometimes little arms or even my hands but I still like I'm on my face I don't really feel my face mmm but if they're handling my back yeah I feel like that I don't know it's probably the most sensitive place mm-hmm yeah I'm just kind of curious if during this two-week so have a noticeable difference in the way I treat them mm-hmm no yeah I'm interested to see that to two weeks isn't a long time to make some of those transitions but in a way I mean you're dealing with them 24/7 so yeah it's I mean you've got to find your way with them somehow in two weeks thanking me a long time also like when I was at home I'll be in the backyard and if there was like one mosquito on me the even then though that would really bother me but like I feel like now so what I'll be a when I come back home and I'll be in my backyard like meditating like it won't bother it'll feel like nothing any before we sign off here any words of wisdom for Watchers that maybe aren't getting to experience something like this and don't resist not really you feel like mechana makes you just sitting there letting them watch it

they really don't take much blood I mean not even letting him bite you but just like letting them like like I don't know how to explain it like you can there's something about just them being around you that it's like you just want them away yeah but just like being okay with their even their presence is even a bigger step you know me I don't I don't let them bite me but I'm just okay with their presence

now sometimes like if one lands on me like I'm what helps is if I just look at it see exactly what it's doing kind of realized it's really nothing but all these all this stuff is like easier said than done

sure yeah yeah that's that one thing to talk about it you guys are getting too I put it to the real test Yesi you know does that work and how do we cuz you got to find you away and that's why they are such good teachers in that weird way because they never let up and then here all the time then yeah and you don't have any real good escapes Roman yeah you know you can get in the cabin but yeah the yurt is definitely my go-to spot like to meditate and yoga exercise yeah

and it's comforting to think like I decide I can go to the year alright thanks you guys it and share in the comments any thoughts about what they're going through how you know if you've dealt I know I have to do a mosquito video for somebody here soon so this maybe isn't the mosquito video but but how have you dealt with things like that that are like mosquitoes that are in your life and they just keep coming and coming and coming and there's no escape how do you process that or transform that or deal with that alright Socrates
