You Are Plastic

Description

We humans may think that we are "set in stone", but the truth is that our minds and bodies are shaped in each moment. How will we shape our bodies and minds today, to change them for tomorrow?

greetings my friends today I would like to share a very simple but very vital message that is that you are plastic so am I know you probably are guessing that I am NOT talking about you actually being made of plastic that substance that is so pervasive in our lives today probably we all have a bit more plastic in our systems than we were desire but that's not what I'm talking about I am talking about an older use of the word if we harken back plastic once long before there were plastics in the world as we know them it once meant something that was moldable or shapeable and that is what we are this is so important to remember because there is this rather strong message in our culture today that people don't change that you are an angry person or you are a distracted person or you are unhealthy or choose the the word that you want to put onto yourself unfortunately a lot of us buy into that thought when we buy into that thought then we create mental roadblocks for ourselves if I say I am an angry person and I'm affirming that when I say that I really give myself an excuse to get angry at a moment's notice and blow things out of proportion but I realize that I am plastic that neurologically my mind that I can shape it and change it and that my body I can shape it I can change it then I'm empowered

because I know that the actions that I take today they are going to shape and change my body and mind so that tomorrow it's a little bit different if I sit on the couch and I watch modern news programs I'm shaping my body and shaping my mind in a certain way if I sit on the floor cross-legged and I meditate I'm shaping my body and shaping my mind in a very different way so there it is we are all plastic and our actions now for actions today shape who we are tomorrow in studies of meditation it's not just that we change mentally but the actual gray matter in our mind can shift away from the self preservation by flight center into the parts of our brain that govern compassion awareness logic so I'd ask all of us what today will we do with our minds what today will we do with our bodies how will that shape us for tomorrow and in making positive powerful decisions today will change the tomorrow that we all experience please share in the comments below thoughts about where you have experienced that you are plastic where you have consciously made changes in your life that have made a big difference in your experience of living thank you for watching we'll talk with you soon
