Hello welcome to another video from far north bushcraft and survival I'm glad you joined me. My name is Lonnie and today. I'm going to show you one of the fastest ways I know of of Coming up with some tinder to get a fire going. Stay with me Okay, this is a technique that NW primate shares on a lot of his videos, and I'll leave a link to that Right up here alright now. Let's get started All right

Okay, this will probably work right here This should work real well All right now

what we need now is a Knock the snow off of it we need a log that's laying down I I see one right behind me or I mean right behind you But also saw one laying over there. Let's go over here and try this one Come along with me Yeah, this one should work real well Okay, you can make feather sticks this way very quickly Or if you choose you can just just make shavings Either way it works out really well, and it's fast You have better control I Think pulling the stick across the knife then you do the knife across the stick Okay, we've got quite a few shavings already here As you can see that's plenty to get a That's plenty to get a fire started right there Now as you cut these Further and further into the stick You'll find

that the

angle of the stick keeps going like this so You'll have to angle the stick to keep your knife to stick angle consistent Okay, there's a nice little feather stick going right there So as you can see this is a very Very quick method of put putting out a lot of shavings in a hurry All right

That is plenty plenty to start a fire Come take a look There you go, so let's light that up, and I'll show you how well they work Okay here we go So as you can see that works very well Let's

Get this main stack going. We'll turn it into the wind that's what we'll do there we go That'll burn long enough to get Some larger stuff going so there you go Hope you learn something and I'm sure glad you joined me you guys have a good week, and you in the The United States you have a great Thanksgiving If you're watching this before Thanksgiving Have a good week you take care.
