The Axe is back Project - My Entry with my GB Wildlife hatchet

Description

This is my Entry to the axe is back project from Skogkniv! My Axe is a Gränsfors Bruks Wildlife hatchet, which I used a lot over the last years. Not only for chopping, but also for carving, feathersticks and notching. I also used the back of the axe head as a hammer for tentpegs and other hammer-needed situations.

Thx for this project Skogkniv and I´m happy to be part of it!................Leather working, Kocher, Fallenbau, Bushcraftmesser, Bushcraftknife, Mora Messer, Knife Test, batoning, feathersticks, essbare Wildpflanzen, Signaling, Whillow Whistle, Not Pfeife, Outdoornahrung, Ray Mears, Survivalfishing, Survivalnahrung, Outdoor, Notnahrung, Bear Grylls, Les Stroud, Survival, Bushcraft, Survivalmesser, Bushcraftmesser, Survivalknife, Bushcraftknife, primitive living, trapping, Survivalschule.at, Austria, Germany, Salzburg, Cody Lundin, Deutsch

hi guys and girls this is Mike from survivor Mike and this is my entry for scutniks channel and project the axis back project and this in front of you is a grants for Brooks the wildlife fetchers not they're not the small forest eggs but what they fetch it and I've used this a lot I mean really a lot abusing this eggs and I want to show you some modifications have done to it first you can see the letter is more Brown than the original one and this is from using over the years and the sheet wax I gave to it or what years and years of using you can see the blade itself is razor sharp polishing polished to a great edge and i've also done another update on this headset i paraquat wrapped this part of the handle here and I saw this on storage bushcraft he shot this way of wrapping an example why I've done this that's because when I missed the log with the X the thing that happened is that the woods hits the handle and this paracord will absorb a bit of the shock from the impact but not all of it but it's better to have anything here then nothing because when the handle breaks this part is very dangerous for this situation and this paracord wrap helps a bit yeah what can I say next the it's always important to have a good sharp ex make sure not to have any knowledge on your ex because it dull ex a dull hatchet is very dangerous and a sharp one is safer to use as you can see also at the backside of the exit I've used it a lot I've used it to drive some tent pegs in the ground by hitting them like a hammer I've used this part also to make sparks with a flint because this is carbon steel you can do it this way but for this I would leave the sheath on the blade to protect myself and the surroundings let's see what we can do with it

as you can see there are big chunks falling off with a sharp edge it but there is something more you can do with the next

as you can see the toning is also possible and because I've Parrikar trapped this part of text I can grab it this way near the head and do some fine carving or making some better sticks this is just possible with them very sharp edge on it yeah you have it nice small-headed which my light with a firesteel and also if you like to make a notch in the board you can do it with next by drilling with tip

turning the peace is always safe then turning the edge towards your hand can also do it on the floor by pushing it down make it small give it into the woods for example for Oh turbo so an axe is a great outdoor tool that you can use when you're doing post craft stuff but it's also a very dangerous tool because you have Ingram's 500 600 700 grams or more that swinging around here and have wrong impact or an impact into your field or your leg or whatever is not that's funny because this goes deep into the flesh yeah great tool like it a lot have it often with me and just to show you simple fuck safe technique to split a small piece like that is to take the piece of wood place the eggs onto the piece of wood and then bring it down both at the same time this way and then tilt the blade until you have two sticks

thanks Rob for this project I'm happy to be part of it the axe is great go for it have fun thanks for watching my films have ever much you
