oh hey didn't know you're watching me today I have here is a Gerber prodigy a knife that I've wanted for a very very long time and I've only know for two three months I really enjoy the blade it is absolutely worth having and whatever the people are saying it's not true this is a great knife let's take a look you

although it's a very small knife and not that heavy you can chop very good but only small tasks therefore the end of the handle has a nice fishtail form and also here enough hilt to hold my fingers in so I can swing the blade that this gives me much control while chopping all the people are telling you not to baton with a knife you need to bend on with a knife because all the dry wood to the inside so it's very important create your feathers that you want to ignite with your fire steel from the inside of the stick not from the outside because there is the dry stuff

as you can see on the blade the last yeah I would say 1/2 or up to 1/2 edge serrated but those are great serrations there are vers serrations bad serrations shitty serrations all of them available but these are really good serrations you have two small one big and not that high of mountain peaks they are aggressive they are easy to sharpen and they fight like hell but you also can carve very very fine shavings with these serrations most of the people are telling me all the time

the serrations are not good for carving it's also not true it's all about having control over the blade and the best thing is that you can also do it with a sawing motion to get your stop cut and creating a notch this way with just decoration is absolutely no problem you can also finish up your notch with the plain edge do some detailed carving with the plain edge so a plain edge is there when you need it this combination between aggressive and very sharp and nice serrations as well as the plain edge blade makes this a great survival knife when you are out in the field the spine of the blade has a really nice sharp 90 degree angle right from the factory so it throws really nice sparks

let's talk a little bit about the handle of this blade so the whole under construction is made out of half plastic which is durable extremely tough and weather resistant it is a full tank blade cost at the end of the handle the tank exposes into a glass breaking device let's see how much damage the glass breaking device can do to this Tristan

overmolded of the on this are plastic is a kind of rubberized material which feels very nice in hand it's secure and you won't slip off which is very good even with wet or bloody hands thumb ramp right here as well as down there is a nice protection when you stab with the knife even in reverse grip it feels good in hand this way much better in this way with last breaking device this may be in the way and it hurts on your thumb and all the tech guys out there want to have the specs so here are the specs not a single good knife is a good knife without a good sheet because if the sheath is not good you won't carry it around and this shit is over the last two months three months that I tested displayed very very good has never let me down it is a silent open and closed so you can draw the knife nearly without any sound at all also on the sheath you have a leg strap which comes in very handy and feels good on your leg to secure the sheet and not flapping and reveling around its Molly comfortable it is absolutely good for upside-down carry as well because you have to button snaps on top so it is I would say jump proof and you can detach this sheath from the nylon but therefore you have to unscrew those two screws and cut this loop at the bottom also and totally ambidextrous sheath left and right carry as for the belt loop you have a very very huge belt loop that fits up to a three inch belt or you can also put it very fast on and off the belt with this small little strap here so the design of the sheath and the blade is totally awesome so that's what this plate I can highly recommend this plate to everybody out there military tactical role as well as survival blade bushcraft blade or just wild earnest buddy this is my wilderness buddy and I love this blade really awesome awesome blade just feels so good it's very comfortable to carry even when you need to run hope you enjoyed this video see you next time Mike out
