I love my Rosalie hunter it's a beautiful knife but the sheath is not my cup of tea nor do I like the bright color also the handle is way too bright and the real beauty of the wood grain is not showing up so time to change that so the next stage would be sanding the handle to get rid of all the coating sweat and everything that is on the wood when you have finished sanding the handle it's time to get it soaked I bought a dark oil which is made to preserve any wooden furniture you may have I decided to go with funky light oil from a local tool store because it has a really nice color it will also soak in nice and will preserve the handle from the elements and there it sits now for two hours already while the handle is taking a long-term bath in Bunker oil it's time to take care about the she took an old piece of cloth and dunked it in the oil with that I now rub the sheath until I reach the color it looks nice let it dry for a while and repeat the process every half hour or hour after a while I checked what the oil has done to the wood and by simply wipe it off with a cloth this is how it looks now but I decided to put it in for another couple of hours to give it a more darker finish I will let it dry afterwards for at least 24 hours but what I can say so far it looks amazing the grain of the wood is beautiful and showing up nicely I wish to do the straight from the factory it was like a hidden grain before you were not able to even dream about such a beautiful wood hiding in that handle after four hours in the oil I cleaned off the exits cleaned the blade and run over the shave and last time with the rag who have ever thought on what a beauty is hidden in there now I let everything dry 24 hours and after that I wax the sheath and polish the hemlock I'm very excited and happy how this turned out if you have a boring knife laying around pimp it so here is the finished product and I want to say a very special thanks to my buddy young kiss Jake his blades he's the one who talked me into this one speaking on the phone he's the knife maker of my choice when it comes to fully custom lives he knows exactly how to deal with knives materials if you ever want to do yourself a favor get one of his knives you won't be disappointed great guy great friend
