what we have here is the gerber bear grylls ultimate survival knife Pro which is the new model and they have improved the design on some major points and made it from an really good and nice knife to an awesome life let's take a closer look the knife itself is made out of nine seer 19 mov stainless steel it has this nice finger choil and the titanium coating to prevent some reflection of the knife talked screws for the handle which is by the way very grip it's this tech hyatt material and the steel pommel so the full tang construction is one of the major improvements on the design of this knife up here you have a sharp 90 degree edge for your fire steel by the way the fire steel is included in the package attached to the hammer pommel it's a small little whistle well it's up to you if you prefer a lanyard on your knife or not I do think this whistle makes a great job and I demonstrate it now for you guys so I think it's pretty loud well folks a good knife is nothing without a good sheet the new Gerber grills ultimate survival knife pro sheath is designed in a much better way than the old ultimate survival knife sheath was it's now slim in profile the fire still sits now on top of the sheath and not on the bottom which was designed to lose it maybe but in this configuration you will definitely not lose this thing this thing here you have a drainage hole at the bottom a rubbery feel to the sheath with this this cateura

attached to the plastic sheath which has this well cross strap stitched really nicely and the pocket survival guide that you all know from gerber bear grylls series

it's now sitting in here which is a much better way because you can get it out and get it back in which was a bit of a pain in the ass on the old model sheath made in China well I don't care if it's well made to be honest and the stitching's and the overall building quality is really really nice a little on the downside is this belt loop here that I find is crap completely crap that's not a good design at all and you have here you can see it some carbide sharpness V carbide sharpness integrated in the sheath and I don't like them either so it's also crap it might help you when you are in an really extreme survival situation and you need to get your knife to a little sharpness bag well this may help but I'll know I won't use it so let's try it out and see what the knife can do to this dry stick here well the fact that it's full tang makes it a really strong knife and yes you have to sharpen the knife once you get it because mine was not that sharp out of the box but now it's doing a really fine job as you can see that is taking no problem

strong cuts no problem find detailed carving no problem because of the finger char you can choke up very nicely hammer pommel

splitting wood no problem so it does a nice job it feels good in the hand and the handle material this tech hide grip is very very nice in hand and feels very secure so let's test out the fire steel and the 90 degree angle on the spine of the knife and once you have this black coating off the fire steel it really throws some nice parks so they gave a Bear Grylls ultimate pro survival knife for me it's a winner you have to decide what is important if you do like this knife configuration if you like the set up you may don't like the name Gerber you may don't like the name Bear Grylls but I tell you what this is a good product it doesn't matter if it is made from Gerber from Spyderco from whatever this really is a good solid knife that you can depend your life on and the package with the whistle with the fire steel with the build sharpener and this extremely well-built blade can't do wrong with this knife thanks for watching my god
