and my water is hot already hi my name is Mike today I have a special guest Lilly's survival Lily hi nice to meet you today we're gonna do something very special for you yes actually my first awesome like my second one so it's really nice that you came here and visited me at my pack up camp yeah I have such an amazing Tampa here it's so beautiful beautiful field while bill structure it's nice to be so let's talk about about you because that's what the youtubers are most interested in how old are you I'm 40 years old born in 1984 awesome awesome

yeah absolutely great um since when are you doing this bushcraft stuff well you know I went out into the woods since I was a little kid and I remember that after school some kids and I some school kids and my brothers we head out into the woods every day after school and there we would build some shelters and yeah hang out in the woods search for wild edibles magic mushrooms blueberry stuff like that so I connected to mother nature very early from the jolly-boat school beginning of my childhood very important yeah

so that's that was a pretty nice childhood and I spend a lot of time in the woods and yeah maybe that brought me to my interest of survival and for how long

are you doing now these YouTube videos where you show all the skills to others I believe that I'm on YouTube since 2011 and my first video was a mess my first overnighter yeah it was really crazy I thought that I can do all the things that I saw of other people on YouTube survival experts and then I said okay I want to sleep a night in the woods and I want to make a video about it and then yeah my bed broke down in the night and yeah it was a real mess and I was cold and shivering and that was my first year in 2011 yeah that's cool is it still online yeah it's still online yeah if you guys want to watch survival Lily first video it's really main joy joy yeah it's fun I was a bloody bikina that's how we all started everybody of us no expert is born straight

way but you know actually your videos were the first ones that I watched because I think you started two years before me 2008 or 2009 seven or eight earthing yeah it and yeah I've watched your videos first and I learned 'fl I haven't shown how to make it bad and all and I learned most of the things from you and to our three other guys so yeah now the biggest channel in Austria so within Austria you are the biggest channel on YouTube especially when it comes to bushcraft and survival skills mhm you have grown very very fast over the last time I would say will the last one one and a half years hmm you expanded extremely so you shoot right to the top um why do you think you are so yeah so good and shooting so off against all others well I started one year ago we went to Sweden do you remember yes I am sure and then it started to shoot through the roof my channel after that video in Sweden and then I started to make videos more regular regularly and I made more videos so I did one video per week because before that added only one video per two weeks or three weeks so it's very important that you deliver a lot of videos and that regularly weekly that's very important so and then I started that and I started to improve my video quality make the video shorter look a bit blue make better high quality videos and then it started to grow so that was the key that's that's one thing that I can totally agree with you the quality of your videos are expanding immensely you know it just started from filming at one point straight and then you started from different camera angles and close-ups and slow motions and speed ups and all these kind of things so this is

quality of the video it offends you to make you watch longer and watch more intense and you get the message much clearer when you do some quality videos we're not just shooting around the woodlands and yes we're important yeah a lot of trees and okay that's you really have to get into camera angles how to make a video how to cut a video it's very important yeah your cutting is also editing and cutting is awesome by the way I really like it thank you um and as I know you don't use that much music in the background so no I don't use music at all most of the time yeah so it comes from the video not not just not just of the content itself but also quality of the video and also this as you said frequently put out videos we are doing every week at least one video and that very constant over a long period of time yeah another thing that makes it very very unique and special what do you do and how you do it yeah so I think that the key to a successful YouTube channel is first of all the content needs to be good yeah second of all the video quality you should be good and the person who does around this channel needs to have some kind of uniqueness for example I am pretty different because as a girl it's very unusual to do this kind of stuff yeah and that's what people like to see and that's the third yeah important I don't think it's just because your goal that the people want to watch you're doing bushcraft and survival skills in the woods I want to see a girl chopping a tree down with an etching or with an axe I think that's that's on a secondary side I think it's yeah it makes you a little more special than others but it's not not the points that it goes with it I think the package around it like the quality the content these frequently videos and all that kind of things as well as the surroundings I mean you have a huge amazing beautiful woodland area here that you can use where you go I don't know three feet away and it looks total different that makes it I think more special and more unique than just the fact that you are go that you well it is a point of your videos yeah for sure but that's not not a big point of what at least I think so so talking about another point is hunting I've shown some hunting videos as well and yes it is a special that a girl is hunting for deer and other things shooting rifles and so on especially in Austria because it's not really allowed to have guns around you need special permission hunting by systems and everything else so how do you get into hunting and yeah what do you like about what what is your guide for hunting why are you doing that mm-hmm

yeah um my father is a hunter and he took me with him hunting when I was a little girl so to me it's completely natural and yeah I just grew into it and as a little girl first I was a little bit you know grossed because of the cutting part but then you know you just yeah yeah you could used to it you could use it and then I saw the reason why we did it because we want to eat animals and I love to eat meat and I think if you are able to eat meat and like to eat meat you should also be able to kill the game because that's where the game comes from and I think that the meat from from edenia which lived in the forest is very precious because it has a good life and it had a happy life and the hunting weapon is one of the most deadliest weapon and if you hit the deer in the right spot it will die immediately I think the problem is that when you put pigs and chickens into a small stable and feed them with antibiotics and extra protein so they grow faster I think that's that's the evil thing that you can do hunting is the most natural thing that people have done thousands and thousands of years so it's completely natural and it is a big part of survival but to me the main reason why hunt is mainly because of getting food for me and my family that's why people go fishing that's why people go hunting yeah that's not a thing that I would regret at all and that's a thing personally would recommend everybody out there go out hunt for your own food once you've done that and you can provide it to family you're a real man or real woman because it's very important what are you doing if the apocalypse is striking and you are not able to get food for your family your children would starve to death you really want that personally me no way I won't that definitely not real like it Lily thanks a lot for this very interesting man thanks thanks for inviting me to this great great bug-out location if you want to see how Lily has built all these walls and the whole camp here take a look at survival Lily's Channel
