hello and welcome to a new episode of the survivor shul 880 my name is mike and this time i want to show you how to disassemble and reassemble my EDC blade the spyderco persistence okay I've already shown you the knife itself just to spite a couple assistance with the HCR 13 mov steel right still by the way full flat grind nice thick blade and the bit smaller version of the tenacious and as I said in the previous video in the review after two years of use there is quite a bit of dirt in size the blight and insights the mechanics and now it's time to disassemble and reassemble the knife to get it cleaned up so the knife will be very thankful about cleaning and will serve me several years more really laughs as well let's disassemble this one to disassemble deployed take my vitamin wave and this is an because why you can buy separately those are the Letterman bits two packages of them several sizes different varieties of heads screw heads let Phillips talks exce else on and in this Sodom and there is this one which is X very small and the larger X and this is the only bit we need to disassemble and reassemble tonight it stands to mill and 1.5 ok

you

no too

and get it cleaned up then turn to reassemble it ok I'll stop washing it you can see everything everything is nice and shiny again no Graham no dirt nothing and simply used some soap and warm water clean this and I get it dragon and reason two very important things guys first step first very important thing underneath all the parts we normally can't reach in especially another clip add the washers even the pivot or the screws or a small stop pin small stuff in here see every part cleaned up special little small ones because those small parts are the mechanics which makes the knife looking okay also this part here where the pivot sets the blade comes out this part is very important shine clean again and the second thing which is very important if you disassemble a knife make sure that you remind where is crews were very well at the time or at the moment where you unscrew them so that you know which part it's which place and which through belongs to which place and so you know that's very important also this part here which was before black of the third now shiny again now let me reassemble this thing and make sure that the knife is working again for the next few years you

okay one very important thing which this pivot screw if you unscrew this to lose neither can see the centering of the blade it's on the right side but when I tighten this up it goes to the left side and that's the exact point we want to have the bladecenter perfectly centered like this and it should open up very easy and lock securely in place and you adjust all this stuff with this pivot screw so the other players play example it in look slice level sits right the first third of the way okay two last things to do first screw back on the clip to the pocket clip and the second end very important stuff is get it get this thing oiled get it all done because now you have rinsed it with soap and water and all the oil and then greasing is gone so especially here where the pivot is you need to oil it and it also is good for the plate so one less protection on it it's not it's scratched on the plate well I hope this helps you out a bit by disassembling hope you enjoyed the video have fun see you next time Mike from the survival shoe lady you
