The MORA PRIMITIVE - A Bushcraft and Survivalknife

Description

In this Episode I show you my newest work step by step, until my MORA PRIMITIVE (as I call it) is finished. Inspired by Mors Kochansky and his great Book BUSHCRAFT. I´ve build a "Mora primitive" to serve as an all purpose Bushcraft and Survivalknife.

My very good friend Sepp (WALDHANDWERK) has shown in one of his previous Videos on how to use a coin as a bowdrill socket, so I thought to give that a try as well.

Hope you enjoy this Video

Have a great day

Mike

I always wanted to have a Mora that looks great

so I decided to cut off the handle from a moral robust here you can see the tank exposed and I also wanted a wooden handled knife because it looks so much more beautiful I was going for the handle of an axe that I got from my buddy Felix drill the hole in it make it a little wider into slit so it fits the blade perfectly

I also slid it an aluminum plate so I have a nice aluminum sheet of metal between the handle and the blade and then I have something really special my good friend Sepp will hunt work has shown in a previous video how you can use a coin to make a boat root socket I want that so badly in my life I glued everything together with five minute epoxy let it sit for a while and then file and sand everything down I put it into oil so it gets protective coating doesn't she look beautiful look at her she is amazing what I also did is I wanted the handle to fit in the old Mora plastic shape just in case because it didn't have a sheath already but it doesn't fit only inside the mauro sheath it also fits in this leather sheath i found and it is beautiful my last step was to treat the blade with some acid to create this forced patina and now she is a real beauty and ready for the wilderness this is my Mora primitive thanks for watching see you next time Mike out
