well some of you may know the knife brand called Old Hickory it's a very cheap

but very good knife company and they produced the knives in the USA so Ontario Knife Company Old Hickory carbon steel blade wooden handle very cheap oh and I tell you what this episode we are going to make out of this knife this knife

so this will become a really good bushcrafting

okay first things first you have to make a drawing of the blade you want to have therefore you easily take the knife lay it on top draw around it with a pencil and change the design how you would like it to have so this could also become a skinner plate or a cap on style it doesn't matter which one you are going to draw has to fit your needs and after a few drawings I came up with this idea here which i think is a really good one but personal preference the blade itself is not that thick you can see will cut like a more I think I hope at least Scandi grind now with the secondary bevel right there but I will get rid of it as well and I think I'm going to make it full candy or even a comics candy I don't know we'll see so taken a very cheap ulti carry knife by Ontario and make myself a very cheap and really nice bushcraft knife so let's go to my working area and do the process there we go so now I fell into shape as well as profiling we prevail in the grind there's now a little convex edge grind also here convexed this thing and now it's time to sharpen on sandpaper

get rid of all those scratches and those marks and I also did a 90 degree angle on the spine here the last process is to sharpen the blade you want to have a sharp tool and therefore I'm kind of sharpen it on a simple small little tiny water stone and once you get used to stone sharpening it's easy going it's enough the camera will pick this up let's see
