after you guys take a breath path under school right here underneath the overhang where I've got temporary forks set up we're going to work on a file today and see if we can't make a fire striker out of that file using this Forge that I picked up just a quick little useful work I found it on sale 100 dollars with the Buffalo blower Buffalo 400 blower and that's all fooled but it seems to work pretty good so we're going to fire this thing up using some makeshift parts and see if we can get a striker made get

ding-ding-ding-ding-ding

bone-cracking young man you

okay guys so once we've finished heat-treating this thing and get it to red dark orange almost white-hot again we quench it immediately in water and that hardens it to the hardest that that Steel's going to be depending on what kind of Steel you're using we use the file so we know we had a higher carbon steel here and we should have hardened it back to being able to strike sparks now we tried to make it to curl striker here and I broke one of them off so I just stayed with a traditional D style striker and it'll still work you see throwing plenty of sparks you guys can see that bring up a little closer to the camera here there you go pretty easy to make a striker when you start with the right material there she is

we clean it up a little bit too but we'll definitely serve the purpose okay guys well free stage over at this video today on how to make a striker from a file I appreciate your support I appreciate your views I appreciate everything you do for me for my school for my family I'll be back to another video in this forging series soon as I can

you
