hi my name is Mike and I'm a professional survival trained and wilderness guide and today I want to show you a very easy and effective trap so stay tuned well there in the background is Chris survival wolf on YouTube and he's helping me out today with building the trap so I can show you how it works and how everything is come together and I have a second man with me who is just helping out with the video before I start I want to point out trapping is illegal in most countries so make sure you know the laws in your area when you are making and creating traps or snares it's also very important that you know this video is just for educational purpose no animal is harmed or injured during this video and as always I will dismantle and destroy the trap afterwards so let's jump right into it the trap I want to show you today is a very effective and simple one depending on your game you're after you want to build it a small or large as you want and all you need is a piece of courage a sharp knife and some sticks you find in the woods we also look for a sapling that is alive and fresh and this sapling here you're gonna use later on as a spring device first off we cut two notches into two sticks one each with the stop cut on top make sure you have a sturdy thick piece because we pound that one into the ground later on when you are done with that repeat the same thing on the second sturdy stick you also want the bottom part of the stick pointy so you can drive in the stick very easy and with less effort now that we have located our sapling and got our game trail we are ready to put everything together

at first we pound the two sticks with the notches on top into the ground with a rock a baton the most important thing is to make sure one notch is facing in one direction and the other one on the other side set it about one foot apart but make sure your spring device the sapling is coming down right between the two sticks now let's find a small stick and make the trap ready to go any stick that can hold the tension of the sapling would be great and it doesn't have to be that thick find the cordage to the sapling and tie the other end off to the stick right in the middle take another piece of cordage around one maybe two footlong and create a loop tie that loop also to the middle of this small stick I use this orange or bright red colored corage here so that you can see easier for all these works and that's it that's all you have your loop you have your middle stick all tied to afresh a live sapling you have your two sticks pounding the ground with the notches on top and the pointy end inside the earth as set very important one notch facing towards us the other one is in the back to set the trap push the sapling down and set the stick in each notch in that way it doesn't matter from which side the animal comes along you snare it for sure if it is going through the trap to prevent that the animal is moving beside the trap we just block off the sides by using simply brush and stuff and whatever is at hand and laid beside the two sticks we found in the ground now you're set and ready to catch some real food when the animal comes along from either side it will snag up onto the line and instinctively run off but the loop gets tied immediately and the trigger set in and rips the animal from the ground

by breaking his neck it's dead no pain no struggle straightforward kill don't try this at home just don't do it Chris the pig so we hope you enjoyed this video if you like what you see please share it with your friends with your family give me a thumbs up subscribe if you haven't and leave a comment down below don't forget to check out the description box I always put some very very interesting information down there hope you liked this video see you next time Mike and Chris out well to get out of the forest in the dark I've brought my foo Matt TZ 12 with me I really like the feature to recharge it via USB and 1000 lumens are more than enough to guide my way it will also make a great lamp to check out your snares and traps because it slim small and light to carry thanks for watching by the way if you haven't subscribed yet well go ahead do it I'm out of here
