okay I'm gonna try and demonstrate how how um make the measure or the plan for this this top okay I'm gonna try it in the woods I'm not actually gonna sit and make him entire shirt up because I don't think I'll I'll lay it out I'll show you how you measure it and get your measurements for yourself and we'll go one step at a time okay so you got your blanket laid out on the floor

now most blankets have a long side and a short side what I've got there is I've got the short side running horizontally from us and then the long side is running up and then what you do is you fold it over to about two-thirds of it okay to come over I mean what this is gonna be obviously this is the tail of the top this is the front where I'm sitting here so what I did with mine was laid out and to my shoulders we're in line with the top seam where the top is gonna be roughly and then I worked at roughly how long I wanted it it's slightly long with the front on this one just pull it down a tad before they come down a little bit more okay so so basic now this is my pattern but my chops gonna be um I'm gonna send about the width obvious when you layer up now this top isn't too bad actually it's when it's almost wide enough for my arms so I'm on after so any extensions on and but if you do you're going to cut out a square from either side here and then you what you use it use these to make the cuffs up but we can talk about that later on so what do I use my old or my : wool top as a template and show you what's we've done okay so you can see where the patterns come from now so what you would do is you'll cut out this side and you'll cut out this side cut the material away and you want to leave yourself a good inch front and back okay because you need to hem it stop it fraying and you can do what they call a blanket stitch which is this stitch here so it's sort of stitched and you just weave around the top see put a hem on the end or you can do is either which is just I folded the fabric inside just made a hem and then is to chop there either ways fine whatever you first and then you can if you look at the cuffs now you can see my cuffs are hanging over the edge so it's up to you if you want to make them just the right length of your arms or if you want to extend them like I've done and that's it so you'll cut out as I said cut other pieces hem them when you're sewing up the sides here leave about four inches either side so you can in so in this square or diamond shape gusset and that'll make then the arm when you put the arms down it will give you that seen or the edge they're fit to fold and it'll won't pucker up under your armpit be uncomfortable and pretty much guys that's how to make a real shirt you'll have two seams so you only seems you're gonna have this down is down this side and then down down this side here and then just him it and away you go so I'll see I might make one out of the green one I don't need another shirt I quite like the white one now but have fun guys you

you
