forty my name is Irish Canterbury I'm going to be doing a few YouTube videos from a woman's perspective on the Pathfinder system wilderness self-reliance and survival okay are so why don't you tell us real quick what you brought out here today for a short Scout or a short term self-reliance situation let's start with what's on your belt okay I have my blind horse Pathfinder two knife four inch blade made of a one tool steel so that's your that's your cutting tool option as far as your top five goes that's your self-reliance tool that you're choosing correct okay so why don't you tell us what you got on your hip back there behind that knife this is a p22 semi-automatic 22 caliber pistol and I want to stress that any woman that is going in the woods by herself should have some type of firearm protection a 22 caliber is not a large bullet but if you it holds 15 rounds and if you point it at someone's crotch and empty it they're not going to come out okay so tell us about your choice of rifle over here this is a Springfield Armory and six Scout okay ladies the top is a 22 rifle bottom 410 shotgun and a 22 rifle chambers the same ground as my pistol so you only have to carry one type of ammunition okay and the great thing about this weapon is that you can store the ammunition and the buttstock

and I have 15 rounds of 22 rifle and four rounds of 410 okay and this weapon is easy to operate breaks open in the middle you can chamber a 22 and a 410 at the same time close it back up this is a single action weapon and it will not fire without the hammer cocked even with rounds in the chamber okay this weapon is equipped with a hammer safety push down you're going to fire the 410 pull up we're going to fire the 22 in the middle even if you pull the trigger you're not going to fire the weapon another good feature to this rifle especially for us ladies is that you can break it down we don't drop it and put it your crack okay now I'm going to show you my pack this is what I carry every day if I'm going in the woods for a hike a scout whatever the case may be and for some reason I couldn't get home this will have everything to get me through the night okay for a cutting tool I have my Pathfinder too and in my pack I also carry a small hand axe in my kit I have three ways to start a fire and my Ferro rod which can start a fire with dry materials with like leaves or bark I also have a lighter which is flame and I have wet fire that I can use in emergencies but the rail rod or the lighter and can even be started in the rain for my cover I have a trek light hammock and Eagle's Nest Outfitters tarp and a 40 degree sleeping bag for my container I have a stainless steel bottle that can be put in fire to boil water if I have to and my next item is cordage and it is very important to carry with you because it's hard to produce in the wild and I have two types of cordage with me I have Bank loin and I have 20 feet of paracord around my axe handle there's a lot of minnows in this fruit ladies its food if you have to have it
