hey guys what we're planning to do today is we're gonna set up a wind tunnel forge out here in an open field and I'm going to show you set that up first thing I've done is I've dug a ditch right here just a trench this is going to be my forge and then I've taken a piece of scrap pipe two inch diameter scrap pipe and I've shoved it down here at an angle going into that forge pit now we're gonna go out and harvest a couple things to help create our wind tunnel and get some dry wood this old dead hardwood right here Harvey perfect to harvest some pieces off of that are going to be dry your head just cracks that's going to be good dry wood you get our food started so we'll harvest up some of that okay guys so what I've done here is I have set this thing up so that this wind tunnel of sorts

he's running on top of the corner of that pipe and all the wind is coming from this direction I set it up into the wind on purpose so that all the wind is directed down that hole into my trench and that's going to be my airflow control if I wanted to shore that thing up and stake down the sides I wouldn't lose any wind but it probably too powerful at that point if I blow my fire all over the place now you're not gonna make anything near as pretty out here on a forged like this you can make you know in a coal Forge but as far as getting by with it you can definitely get by out here I mean we're making a fork now that's kind of a difficult thing to make on it you know out here on a coal Forge it wouldn't take you long to make something like that but on out here it takes a little while it's not really trying to make it perfect I just want you guys to see that it can be done okay guys well I'm Dave Canterbury the Pathfinder school I appreciate you joining me out here for another video and the blacksmithing series on this wind tunnel type Forge I just wanted to show you how you can set a trench forward Jeff with absolutely no power really use the power you know that God gives you in the wind to run this Forge and it works pretty good long as you get a Windy Ridge I'm going to show you guys a couple other trench four options along the way but I appreciate you joining for this video I thank you for your comments I think if your support I thank you for everything you do for me for my school and for my family I'll be back to another video as soon as I can you
