first a couple things here real quick on event video vlog fashion I've dropped this hammock to the ground down and I folded the ropes and clues inside the wool blankets are still attached so that queen-size will blanket I have a thirty liter dry bag here and I'm going to put all of this inside that thirty liter dry bag fold it up so that it's easy enough to get out of there to reset this shelter system when the time comes and it rolls up small enough that you've got room in this thirty liter bag once you stuff it into the bottom of it to still get other items in there as well for camp will just be this hammock and there's gonna be other items in there as well so you really have room in there to put a tarp in there if you wanted to we could probably get this ten by ten in the same bag if you wanted to kind of only taking up about three-quarters of the bag Heights maybe don't have stuff called what we got in there yet because I can always roll this down a little bit and actually stuff it pull the air out of it and you've probably got if I had to guess weight wise there might be eight pounds there maybe nine I don't know I have to put on a scale to really tell you but I'm gonna try to put the tarp in here as well and get the whole camping that's 130 liter dry bag okay so we've got this ten by ten little cloth tarp pull down two toggles ridgeline the whole nine yard so essentially now our entire camp will be inside just thirty liter bag now I fold the desk lengthwise and I probably should have pulled it a little bit smaller but again it's stuffable so that's not that big of a deal it can compress a little bit in here and I still don't have this dry bag anywhere near filled up so imagine this is a thirty liter plus backpack if you will

and what I'm gonna do is just roll this thing down squeeze here out of it up what we'll do with this thing is we'll take this up we'll actually put it on a scale and figure out what this entire camp weighs if I had to guess now I see we're getting close to the 15 pound range 12 to 15 pounds but really again that's the entire camp so other than piece of stainless steel for cooking and you know the knife on my hip and maybe a little bit of food just not a lot of weight for a camp for a full camp in traditional manner I thought real quick in this video vlog that I'm shooting today real fast for you guys I'd cover this table as well I had a lot of people ask me about this table that's been seeing the background of my videos and this table wasn't anything like a new idea this came straight out of backwoodsmen magazine now when I saw it in there I thought well it's probably a pretty cheap versatile table to build because you can take the legs off of it and pack it up fairly small on the back of the Jeep or something like that but this iron pipe is really really expensive and so are the floor flanges so if you can't find this stuff scrap it's gonna cost you a pretty good amount of amount of money to build it but it is a nice table and all I did here was I bought two tabletop pieces basically from Lowe's we've got two separate pieces here that are basically pre-made glued together table tops and then I put 1 by 6 across them and clamped it up and screwed it together and glued it and then four flanges that are three quarter inch floor flanges on here there's four of them and then these pipes are just three-foot pieces of pipe but then I have screw ends on both ends so that you can put just a butt cap on the end and it gives you a table that you can disassemble with three-foot legs it's a really sturdy camp table there's no question about that however like I said as far as it being very inexpensive to build it's definitely not that it's it's costly to build this thing this iron pipe is really expensive but I would say that once you've built it it's not gonna go anywhere oh yeah especially if you seal this wood somehow with some type of shellac or something like that and then you have something that can fold down to this size that you can put inside the back of your Jeep or you know something like that I would say this is too big for a canoe or anything like that but if you have vehicle conveyance of some kind this is an easy way to make a camp table although again it is fairly expensive okay there we go 18 pounds eight ounces I was a little bit off of my estimation but in that 18 pounds you've got your entire camp so to the ultralight backpacker I'm sure that seems like an extraordinary amount of weight but to somebody who's used to carrying 35 pounds on their back or 30 pounds on their back over distance it's really not that much and the fact that it all fits into a thirty liter dry bag means that you can easily fit that in to say a large canvas laundry sack staying with traditional type materials and drop that down to a POC basket and still have plenty of room in there for your cookware and a little bit of food carrying your tools and the implements like that on your body you can also have a room for an axe probably in that pack basket as well to test that theory when I get back from Sweden in Denmark but that's my guess okay guys well I just wanted to give you a quick update video vlog if you will taking that camp down before I head out to Denmark and Sweden this week and I wanted to show you how small it packs up or how large depending on how you look at it and how much it weighs because that gives you pretty much a very versatile camp setup and now you have a ten by ten oilskin tarp you have a queen size wool blanket plus you have a hammock to get you off the ground so you have a lot of versatility not set up as far as where you choose and how you choose to sleep and how you choose to set up your overhangs shelter in a package again less than 20 pounds total weight
