i doing this is mitch with the native survival school I'm in a new for us today let's go for a scout check this out nice a meandering little strain through the forest if you know what to look for you can track even in leaf litter this is a trail who's bye dear it's very subtle you can see that there's leaves scuffed up you can see on this obstacle in the trail it prepared itself to walk over it and see all the scuffing as its hopes we're rearranging talk over the obstacle this stream is gorgeous it has a nice flow to it well scouting a new forest this place is really interesting a lot of briars some maples some Oaks is an oak right there nice white oak that's pretty much an oak woodland on that side of the stream and this side we have some pine even have some eastern red cedar right here some sass for us I like this place it's nice meeting with hardwood soft woods with all this water with this birch in here as well let's keep my eye out an old birch

rotten now as it happens here's another path if you can see it right there in the middle the screen a lot of traffic right here

heading towards the water source as well as taking the left all right here going underneath that now we're talking small again for this one this is where it takes a right off this path right between right into that it's subtle but it's one hundred percent there I like this woodland it's nice water source brings a lot of resources here a lot of animals a lot of wood some good trees here lotta briars don't drink fruit all the acorns for bread it's nice place of course the water source is a lot of source very nice it's a nice spot right here you have the water going by zigzagging that's ironwood right there I'm the best boat trees you can get eastern woodlands makes a good character bows look at this spot it's a nice-looking camp do something scouting around here this is nice a couple big trees some hammock camping nice clean spot if you're laying on the ground next to the fire look at this jackpot convergence it's nice artery right here I have two inlets one outlet it's like a triangle star pattern it's like three streams crossing a new one is born from those two

if it goes that way so I'm right beside the convergence of the streams and the water table is very high around here lot of standing water this would be a good spot to flood during good rains you can just see that the forest is sopping wet in areas it's all matted down with water so camp in this area a good spot would be away in that direction where the land starts rising up away from the convergence of the streams I'm going to head that direction smell skunk I keep my eye open make sure I don't surprise it make sure I make a lot of noise while I walk I try to be smooth or stealthy so it knows where I am its scent is not coming from the wind that direction you knows can tell you a lot it's also beaching this woodland as well this place is loaded with some spagna moss spagna ms.beautiful holds a lot of water too I like the spot for a camp it's cleared out of undergrowth has some nice trees I can be used for hammocks good stout trees many of them see in the back off to the side I'm laying on the ground I'd be a great site right there on the other side of the speech it's a nice little alcove and the stream it's right there and so they converge and it's right there this is nice I like this area very nice nice are joining me today in this quick little scout this new forest I really like the stream spagna moss I like the resources here the plant life the biodiversity it's really nice already found some animal trails it's nice tracks some paths it's a lot of downfall a lot of firewood here good mix pine beach iron wood oak maple briars it's very nice out here very nice indeed mr.
