it's Mitch native survival I'm out here harvesting my sugar maple sap and the same situation applies one time I could get out here was that night so here I am and again I'm close to the road a few hundred yards like i like i said in my last video about tapping the sugar maples so you're gonna get some cars going by like there is one right now so I'm gonna take you guys along don't go away okay so this is a pretty good example my sap line this right here so my gallon is probably about 85 maybe maybe ninety percent full 50 50 eighty-five percent full and it's cold out tonight it's below freezing which is still the ideal conditions remember freezing at night above freezing during the day so it's frozen so that's going to make transportation even easier there's not don't worry about it splashing around alright so I'm going to go ahead and collect my harvest here show you guys closer okay so i add a comment in the last video about possibly showing how to tie the jug on with the taut line hitch the question was in regards to using it using it to hold the jug on there so i'm going to show you guys if i can again bear with me it's obviously night time okay so we have the line going through to handle the jug the back of the tree and i'm going to go under under over so altogether it's under under over so I'm going under on the inside here again okay now over on the outside taking that up so what this allows me to do is create a lot of tension on this line right here right there hole to my gallon jug firm hope you guys can see that just like that holds my job good and firm right where it needs to be all right so these two trees side by side babies nice two gallons sap line here sap line here pretty full pretty happy with that let's get a little harvest all right so this is the harvest after the first trip out here it's eight gallons here two of them are about half full so it's about seven gallons of liquid and I'm pretty happy with that now nine of these trees I tapped out here and eight of them Sarge feria tapped on the data we hung out made some panic so I'm going to come out one more time I'll split it down the middle and half the SAP will be his house the SAP will be mine to make syrup so this is what I got off of my first trip out here I always been mentioned native survival appreciate your views your comments any support I'll see in the next one take care
