hey submission Sophie will need a survival say I'm gonna give her the gift of fire stay tuned pull in the bark off the tree yeah see these pieces these are good pieces pull this off

geez good stuff so what I'm doing the cedar bark is I'm gonna rub it on itself it's gonna make it want to make sure you take all green living grasses out of this one only the dry bark now I'm gonna take some cattail cattail I put it some in the middle up too much it's a little bit and the rest of it is going to compress i'm going to put it real tight now let's see if we can because this is called a magnifying glass oh oh you do it's a piece of glass and what it does is it concentrates the Sun look watch this okay look at the light I'm going to make the light really small

look at our East out of smoke I'm going to move it around because it makes it black charring burning the that's it

so I'm gonna just move around look I move yeah

now it starts running like this what smells good when I start doing it blowing on

all right now watch this is called an ember when you blow on it TL it's still smoking if you blow on it still smokes it looks a little bit of orange I'm going to put that right in the middle on my tinder bundle without right inside the cat to see what I'm doing beside blow on it you want to help me blow on it 65

Boy Scouts orange saber to make fire actually fire afternoon yes I'm running a little bit deeper inside

shurflo it's really close now huh I don't get smooth on me I don't have to be okay that's big smoke on me yeah unfortunately it's gonna be smoking I don't you're gonna be smoked um well I don't really see it Lena we made fire sweetheart we did it all together oh we did daddy ok bad self yep smoking by itself in a little fire so that's how you make fire by the Sun okay ready to learn another way to make fire all right now this way going to take leaves like a cedar bark and crush them up a little bit okay a little pile now this time I'm going to use don't progress on it cuz grass is green and green won't burn so now i'm gonna use matches you know what matches look like a cat one yep you can have one be careful remember it makes fire no fire is dangerous but it's also incredibly helpful keeps you warm in the winter lets you cook your food all right let's you boil your water so it's safe to drink ok so now usually with matches you'll see there's this little piece of paper attached to the box that has these little circles on it and if you strike these I'll just use this rock you strike it strike the match by strike it i mean if you rub it really fast on there it lights the match i'm gonna put that out real quick in the area that i put pour the water earlier ok so this this lights the matches it makes the fire I have a big do it sure I'll try

almost go right down here and go really fast try again really long let's do it together so you know what it feels like you hold on to it over one two three go just like that now it's hot so get it out of your hands quick and you want to be able to hold it all the way at the end okay cuz it's five we did do it all together so that's how you do with the paper but if you don't have the paper or if the paper gets broken or ruined by the rain right I keep my paper inside the cap by the way and what you can do is you can light a match off of a rock if it's a rough Rock feels rough and so what you do is you you you light it and then you put it inside the leaves and the leaves should catch on fire okay so I'm gonna strike it the same way hey I'm gonna just cover it so the wind doesn't put it out so it starts burning up the stick that I'm holding now I'm gonna put it inside the leaves underneath them see that and here we have fire again I know you don't like the smoke so that's another way to make fire this time with matches now just put it out some water don't help me pour right there perfect okay hmm so if you ever need to make fire okay these are inside my backpack he matches okay I don't like to do is take the top off and they'll come out and if you don't have a rough Rock I keep the paper inside here now you have to take it out and unfold it all right so if you need fire if there's a problem and you need to make fire this will make fire whew that's how you do it you take leaves and crumple it up alright playa yeah we're gonna make fire another way now
