in front of me I have one of the most sought-after knives in the world the knife I've had for several years the Ramirez bushcraft knife [Music]

all right so the ray mears bushcraft knife

basically the wood Lord to Ray had his knife his design made from Allen wood and Allen couldn't keep up so he has keeping way cops make him a would lure sells them on his website you used to anyways I don't we still does I got this from the very first run there's only 15 released that first month so this is number one to fifteen they're not numbered so I don't tend if we know which one it is so because this is the first run the handle is actually reclaimed from a church reclaimed from a church from the floorboards of an ancient church he since moved on to other materials because this wood once it ran out it was gone that's it beautiful blade I mean just incredible blade that's a snowshoe logo very nice knife really one of the top knives in the world

this is probably the second most sought-after knife in the world rays would lure knife made by Allen wood himself is probably the most sought-after knife in the world the handle profile is very thin almost like a more as a slight coke bottle shape famous coke bottle rounded pommel

very aggressive though very aggressive again very aggressive very sharp contours right it's very unforgiving there's ESWC logo yes indeed beautiful knife very special knife comes with two sheath options I got both I got the standard and the upgraded sheath I keep it in the upgraded sheath upgraded sheet has a sharpening stone pouch for the dc-3 by fall ribbon and it has a foil rod loop right beside it the workmanship is actually incredible on this as you can see it's a single piece of leather look at that single piece incredible incredible really nice stitching really nice clean lines just a beautiful sheath really nice high quality leather it's not flimsy this is real top-shelf stuff here this is the ray mears bushcraft knife also known as the would lure to epic knife the next step is are there any negatives whenever I do a review if I can think of a negative I discuss it one of the best knives in the world yeah it's got some negatives one being handles too thin for my liking the scales are just too thin gives me hot spots

another thing I don't like is that the pommel on top is very sharp and that especially hurts during chest lever grip when I do chest leave a grip that digs right into my palm I mean it's brutal like I'll get a bruise if I'll make it something I'm doing a lot of checks leave a grips you know four six seven eight hours like what like if I make it a bow I've made both spoons you name it and not pommel has beating me up bad so I moved on from this knife time I mean a knife I use anymore I just got finished designing my own knife and a survival knife and I took what was in my opinion the best features of everything I could ever find every use and that could ever think of and I put it all into one knife you know I fixed those problems with the sharp problems I fixed the problem that and a normal grip a forward grip the palm will find when you go to chest lever it digs right into the meat of my hand you know the handle of my knife is longer I learned that from this knife I want to make sure my handle is long enough that wouldn't beat me up so this is an exceptional knife designed by an exceptional man Ray Mears clearly is one of the forerunners of bushcraft and outdoor professionals in the world with no question about it this is an amazing knife that I absolutely adore I love this knife perhaps one day I'll get my hands on an Allen wood would lure which is a crazy rare knife we shall see Church floor would scales ray mears Steven wake Hawks bushcraft knife amazing knife amazing knife [Music]
