starting to snow now we've got a nice little snow kind of rain mix coming in now's a good time to take out my rain gear already have my top show on it's my bottom show I'm gonna get these on gonna have a little chat okay so a proper water show it's incredibly important to have good rain gear I have a waterproof shell on the top of the hood and at the bottom my boots a gore-tex as well that gives me full protection from the rain sleet snow anything like that any moisture that can make myself wet my clothes wet getting wet is obviously a big deal in the woods when you want to protect your core temperature keep yourself warm that's a real slippery slope when your core temp starts dropping because you're wet usually in those conditions it's harder to make fire as well and that compounds the issue if it's snowing that means it's also cold out alright so now you're cold you're wet and you're having possibly trouble making fire so having proper rain gear is really easy to do you set to grab a pair of waterproof pants waterproof jacket with a hood I'm not wearing gloves right now but I have waterproof gloves as well throw on some waterproof boots done deal worries are over I don't mess around with ponchos at all Poncho's are not conducive to living in the woods all you have to do is use a poncho for a couple days in a row or even just a couple hours in a row well having to split firewood use an axe carve things like that do normal tasks that you have to do throughout the day with a poncho on trying to split wood with your poncho around and if it's it's a nightmare to nightmare so the upgrade to a poncho is wearing a range show we improve pants rainproof jacket with a hood rain proof waterproof boots done deal it's all you need to do and now you can function 100% no issues at all it could be pouring down rain it could be blizzard outside and if you have waterproof shell that is tight to your body like this you can be splitting wood you can do everything you normally would be doing without any issues of having a poncho flopping around and getting in your way and being a problem which is actually very dangerous using sharp tools like axes this Ben Mitchell donated survival school for sure to check out our website I need a survival calm and as always enjoy the outdoors
