next time would you get to meet got it how'd you catch it Conibear trap it 22333 yeah so stupid question booth you must be at least partially of yourself related together and then almost let's run here on drunk hmm actually two tribes um yarns my grandfather side and a tribe that I don't know it's on my mom's side her sister went to the reservation when she was about sixteen percent when I asked her about it and her great-grandmother lived on the reservation over the mountain she said they grew up in Maine and she travel up to me up to Canada the little reservation and visit and said everyone spoke French everyone spoke French and I'm great grandma spoke French and her name was rose marie doesn't know what tribe it was but you know where it was because a nickel was part of grandmother bravo right six clips is it mom so I that's right as much as I know of that and I'm like I'm going to get me more than that so I'm still digging on that side right on yeah I've always wanted to take some time in laughter maybe you know me too practicing meters yeah I think the I think it's a terrible stream that a lot of that cultures disappeared tolling yeah absolutely yeah yeah man I grew up Massachusetts United States oh no now there's a little reservations here in there I'm up an altar in that air the Narragansett

selphie laugh

yeah I mean I got some skills for my grandfather I always saw him you know he's a throw line to catch fish things like that I mean he he it was still there using mud as medicine was interesting for sure bull fingers out using mud right don't work I should do it to my friends and myself it was the mess with beehives hey hey and the best mutt ever found underneath on dick my dad's back porch and when it dries it constricts and it pulls up stingers really easy oh yeah old-school man but uh yeah a couple little tidbits left and now about it and I just had to kind of dig around myself you know just good Jackie man thank you hmm somebody's up an alert look I think he's going back to more excellent awesome hmm beaver jerky beaver jerk delicious

[Applause]

on the way here he rescued a little friend looks like it's doing for it again it's alert yep yeah you can also take a nap looking at me like you know I had to move my spots okay then get your Australian get the Fitbit already got accustomed to you beautiful [Applause]

I don't know if peasants will take that children back after gone for a wild and how that works hopefully hopefully you'll be able to make that happen I've got H with me from native survival how's it going and we're at the most grass gathering together and look hangin out looking forward to meeting you soon since I started watching your channel thanks protector long man no problem boss involved I appreciate that so how long you've been into this trap hmm obviously I was horrified it was four five alik every others I would think we had the kid hanging on the woods and fishin was kind of hard on him yep oh yeah when I was young we had a piece of property with like 10 10 acre spec there and was all wood that's what I'll start it for me yep and then I didn't have I didn't have a whole lot of opportunity to learn those crimes is a little bit that I learn to learn and then as an adult that's when I really started to pushing and getting into it

yep yeah sometimes it happens that way I was paired I picked up some skills from grandfather and native stuff it's not too many because it's pretty far down the line comes in you know right and I wonder a lot from there I really sold the seeds and um after he passed I joined the Boy Scouts I suppose now thinking back I guess to fill the back all right heading build and time went on started kind of pushing myself in this one thing that I needed more more MORE the thing to me was you know I heard that people can make five elated sticks yeah yeah and I was like the biggest dream

I had a similar experience my grandfather taught me that you can now make fire with quartz yeah and awesome in one of my videos you see me trying to make videos try to make fire with course and if just Robin quartz together we made sparks as children the Galliano does that right yeah yeah we should do it on the driveway and the road oh come on Kevin throat we throw corks like really hard it would smash a shower sparks yeah we do that at the concept so the road will be made of little chunks of quartz with loyalty yeah I need another yep totally sweet so I did a video on it with just the courts I didn't think it was going to do what I did if you know under my grandfather yep like grandfather's will the best man yeah the old men the puppets of the world the grandfathers to publish those miles called

yeah man they're they're the ones I know everything absolutely

and I I always have this idea that regardless of what I know how much I know there's always somebody out there that knows more yeah and then when you find that guy who is the most right he's going to tell you to his grandfather's ruling circles along yeah I've been I've been lucky

I'm able to pass it on to my children and my children have been learning it so that makes us twice as much fun for me and I see you with your daughter and she's learning it too I think that's fantastic yeah yeah that's great it's it's an honor to tuchus know such gifts for such a young person you know it's like every father's dream is to bring his children up and how we wish he was brought yeah or a house if he was she lived in it's always you always wanted to do better things where you could roll and I wish that I had gone paddling as many times as I had with my daughter I wish my dad did that with many things like that my dad fisherman man put him in the boat it's probably to be a powerboat and we're skiing you know it did none of that paddle of stuff 20 he'll he'll sit there and he'll catch horn pow and eel at midnight and I mean the guy's a fisherman he loves he loves catching fish and he loves finding a fish that's smart and gloves outsmarting it

he loves finding out like when a fish runs towards him instead trying to trick I mean he's ended with duty didn't do it he knows things I'll never know and so you know each father kind of shares his own little thing yeah you know and it kind of keeps passing down and I think it's our job in my opinion to take the various pieces that have been passed down and add our bit to it but still make sure we retain some of the bits that were brought to us and keep it going

and and never let the old ways be forgotten ever happen because that's that's the only true freedom in the world I think about it the natives live without money there's live without any sort of outside with interference didn't have jobs their job was to even met and put in the spot that they knew that there was a good spot at that time of year is that particular weather and it with all those details and then to defend while that net is working they're off doing other things and not that was their job and now always an event of maintaining and land after you right no actually you know the structural because if you destroy that and there's nothing doing next year yeah now you can restart of it and so I think that that old way is incredibly important so that's we go oops

that's how we got to this point right and so much has forgotten so many people are all stressed and hope things that they can't control when they learn these kind of skills it's so relaxing we come back so much self-control for much control of your environment food that no matter no matter what happens control with you bond with your environment you'll be able to deal with it why it brings balance back into your into your everyday emotional well-being yeah all of a sudden you inwardly feel more calm knowing that you can walk into the forest with the knife and nothing else and effect fire and make traps fish traps catch a fish fillet the fish and we on and on on and on you can speed yourself and go and go and go that creates a sense of pong ball so when something happens and I'm not saying anything to you I'm saying like real camping oh we forgot XYZ I want like we've got our pan out no worries little rubber raw we're going to go call your plastics victim of the rap you know there's always something and it's not a big deal oh yeah no big and then the kid coming together Oh daddy's going to do a rock they help you clean it it's a fun family thing you know and in the white community gives you a little samarco chick she loves it while she's preparing the food

to assure that our man like I've got a good man to a settled I will get all fired up to go back to the town somewhere robbing something exactly and it creates balance yeah it does and it you know kids kids nowadays are so bored because everything has to be instantaneous right but you take the same kid and you teach them to make a spoon where you teach them to make a fire mmm and all of a sudden now a confident kid mm-hmm and you have people trying to manipulate them into doing something that they don't think they should now they have the confidence to say no and walk away Dave stability in their foundation so they try to get persuading be pushed around and lean in certain way and I push for diesel never motors when you as individuals of character hey man I really enjoy the stall me too thank you very much and we're great meeting you absolutely thanks for tracking me down and camping don't forget to tick up Mitch's youtube channel native survival and we'll see you next time period thank you you go to outdoors [Music]

you
