okay so what is the knife there's a jackal or fantastic blade so much can be said about this knife it's a very special blade one reason why it specials because Sandy Jack made this for me specifically he gifted this to me unbelievable

matching fire steel gotta love that so if our odd handle matches his attention to detail it's just outstanding as you can see this is just his leather work I mean he's a bladesmith his leather work is off the charts here we go now I've not used this knife since I used it on Vancouver Island I use this knife last I was on Vancouver Island that's another reason why it's a special knife it's a knife that I had to choose bring a single knife go live in the woods venture of the lifetime zonal Survival show ended up being a hit show Ward winning show and I use this knife exclusively for all my tasks I mean I butchered tons of fish with this thing made a fire with it every day everything you can imagine feather sticks every day with it for seven weeks living underneath the tarp this is a knife I chose incredible knife for it to have gone through that with me and I just brought a Nagar stone kept it kept it tops to make sure it wasn't all rusty because it so one high carbon tool steel and I was processing salty fish every day or like every other day pretty much so I get two fillets from the fish and 81 that day and save one for the following day catch more fish the brass being that this is a couple years old has a nice patina on it now since I came back from Canada all I've done is oiled it every once in a while I throw some oil on it and I wipe it off I don't believe in making a time capsule out of my knife and you know leaving fish scales on it and whatever else to try to have it be like just like it was when I was there everything else well first off my knife wasn't like that when I was there my knife was pristine pristine cleaned it every day every night sitting in my lab who surrounded by wolves and bears mountain lions and salmon swimming out listen to the tide come in and out all day I cleaned this thing every night I enjoyed cleaning it every night I mean this thing was like my constant companion beautifully sharp I mean it's deadly sharp so I brought home and just kept it old kept in the sheath it's been retired now for me for quite a while that's black liners absolutely gorgeous knife that's his own mosaic pin so he made himself now he has a new Trinity mosaic pin so it's only three this is his old version with his four beautiful blade I didn't Nick a little bit off the bevel right there not a big deal I just resharpened it incredible blade has just an amazing coke bottle on it look at that coke bottle look at that huh sandy knows what he's doing the reason why he's considered one of the best knife makers in the world will talk about a knife is a knife beautifully comfortable I mean it's just unbelievable so there it is jackal or classic very simple very elegant knife very simply stated graceful lines excellent coke bottle shape very comfortable in the hand I mean it treated me well when this was the only thing I had for a knife it completed all the tasks I throw at it with flair I mean it did it with style this blade I mean really I skin a sea otter while I was there I've just done all sorts of stuff and I used to blade before that point obviously this was my main carry blade before I even went to Canada with it and I mean I've just I've just done tons of stuff with it and it has been beautiful I made bows with this I mean I made a beautiful bow with this I've made a bow drill kits on and on and on

this blade is just incredible so is the jackal or classic mine was slightly custom because he asked me how I wanted it and I mean you can just see the quality see the love that he puts into it simply stated it's an amazing knife certainly an incredible knife maker very high skill I mean he cuts the metal out he has his own machine to check the rockwell hardness he has his own like ford so he can you know temper the blade you know the heat treat I mean it's like he stabilizes the wood himself I mean this guy is a knife maker he makes all aspects of the knife cuts the metal out does

thing yeah I love sandy man I really love watching him work makes videos he's like a mad scientist and his little laboratory making these gems making these gems but he's really the upper echelon of the knife makers in the world sandy Jack Giacalone Ives incredible blade incredibly and it served me so well in Canada it just lit a fire every single day striking fellow rod on the curls I mean as a rainforest it rained twice a day and I made feather sticks every single day with this and would a fire by igniting those straight from afar rod because letting a fire there was just not easy but a lot easier with this well there we go the incredible and impeccable Giacalone if-- it's been Mitch with the native survival school struck out a web site in a novel calm don't forget fear the crocodile enjoy the outdoors

take care
