how's it going this is Mitch with an it's viable school today I'm going to go over my ultralite cook set stay tuned my titanium cook set is absolutely epic it is a heavy cover cook set comes with canteen and a nesting cup all titanium I have two of them except that I use when I go hiking two of these at a time this is a day's worth of water for me I go through these pretty quick turn the day usually I'll have a little bit of water left in my second one after drinking a full by the time I reach my destination eight miles into the woods so two of these that's the way that I go and this is my system but I really like a lot and just really ultra light and absolutely phenomenal piece of kit I can't talk this up enough it's ridiculous I love this kit it's just really thoughtful in their design even a little titanium bring up top it's never leaked on me ever I've never had these leaked on me to me that's very important I said canteens a couple of them leak on me in the past it's never fun to have your gear get wet inside your ruck and to lose potable water that you can drink now my cooking pot is by tokes this pot titanium is unbelievable the sings the king right here phenomenal pot it's 2 quarts which is the perfect size in my opinion when I lived in the Canadian woods filming alone I had a 2 quart pot - quartz is the proper size for a pot proper size I mean you can boil crabs in here you can whatever you want to do this is it right here this is the amount in my opinion just by toks logo right there next in the middle it's very like to see as a little tab and if you push it off to the side it locks and stays up

that's pretty cool as a bail gotta love that and I mean if I was really pinching grams I can take it off I want it excellent cooking pot incredible cantinas this is my livelihood right yeah this is my water in the forest incredible

titanium cooks really well really well it stays hot for a long time after the food won't go cold fast it's just a really strong light excellent conductive middle I really like this kid now what I used to use this is my old kit I don't use anymore

it cannot compare to my new one and this this old kit is like you know believe it on just cool things about it my usgi stainless steel cup nests inside my Crusader cup for less space but basically this kit my old kit is all stainless steel whereas my new kit is all titanium my old kit add 2 cups new kit has 2 cups you can see they're exactly the same kit however there's some huge differences in weight and also size of the pots this is the MSR Segal this is a great pot I mean I I mean I've made salt in this pot from boiling down ocean water I've made I mean I've done some heavy use on this this isn't just something I've played around with you know in my backyard I've done some stuff with this I've boiled down maple sap and made maple syrup I made maple sugar in this I mean I've done crazy things this is an awesome pot no question about it it's just really really really heavy now how happy how heavy is this stuff really let's demonstrate weight all right start the Crusader zero out my gauge 0.7 pounds okay so the procedure top is point seven pounds let's do one of the the titanium cups from heavy cover sings I like rock star so I was point seven seriously let's try that again point one seriously point one all right so my Crusaders cup it's point seven this is point one that's an extra point six that's like having six of these cups extra in my kit so when I carry this Crusader cob it's the same as me carrying

my Crusader card right it's the same as me carrying seven of these heavy cover cups seven of them so if one is being used at the same there's six extra cups sitting at the bottom my rock just underneath my sleeping bag six cops just lined up just for that one piece of gear six extra cost six extra mugs that's asinine mind blowing alright now let's do the US military stainless steel mug the canteen cup it is point four so we've already decided ready figure out this is point one so that's an extra three cups if I carry this instead of this I have an extra three of these bouncing around the bottom I rock because this is equal to four of these cops this is equal to seven of these cups that is just nuts so at five six cups here three extra cops here when I carry just these two cups these two heavy cover titanium cups it's like carrying nine less cups Knight less monks at the bottom so I carry this I can carry four of these cups instead of this I can have four that's insane that's absolutely insane so point four pounds point seven pounds point one pound point one there it is right there so point six wasted point three wasted that's point nine basically a pound there's a whole pound difference there I could have nine extra cups bouncing around I can carry 11 cups in my ruck or I can carry these two cups yeah I'd rather just carry these two and throw the other 11 back right okay so that's the power of titanium with mugs waylay okay let's talk cooking pots so this pot the seagull pot is one chord one chord this pot is toke spot two quarts literally double the size double the size so should be double the weight double the size let's see this ways okay turn on like my gauge zero it out zero exactly one pound exactly one pound okay one buck got it one pound one core this is two boards should be two pounds right see what this ways point six pounds point six four two core pot not one core so this was a one for pot it would be 0.3 put into proper ratio 0.3 and this is one point zero one five point three that is insane point three if it was going for because that means I could have two more of these I could have three these pots in my ruck or just this one up to me I can carry one pot or I can carry three same thing that's actually even three these is still lighter than that by point one pounds oh my goodness it's like a circus three or one I decide right yeah I'll go up one so in actuality this is two boards so it's point six this is one point zero so this is point four pounds lighter than this is and it's double the size point for both point five it would be half its weight so it's as close as possible to be half the weight of this one yet it's double the size that's insane okay so clearly you can see why I upgraded from this so far titanium is a smashing victory all right now over here on canteens it's the same story I don't know the exact ounces on these fluid ounces doesn't really matter too much just for illustration points the raw weight is what's pretty important you know you want to make sure they're all wait I want my kid to be lighter it doesn't have to only be about you know size limits and all that it is nice to take into account to really kind of get a good understanding of what's going on okay I think this is 32 ounces and this is 40 ounces Klean Kanteen and this is just just as no face on you know so 32 ounces I believe and 40 ounces canteen with the Klean Kanteen full stainless steel again this is the heavy cover titanium canteen I'm not sure probably 32 ounces I don't know okay so let's see what we're looking at for weight on these I just grabbed a piece of paracord all right so let's see what these ways zero on a gauge point three pounds okay point three pounds

okay pling canteen zero

switching between point six and point seven

I'll go point six so this might be a little bigger also the Crusader Cup is a little bigger but an actual weight this is double the weight of my titanium canteen double that's point three difference let's check this one this is point three one I usually use zero I gauge point for all right so this is 21 heavier than this 0.3 heavier so it's plenty for extra there I don't know what it was all together but it was point three extra on this piece point six extra on this piece let's not mistaken and point four extra on this piece crazy so all in all just stainless steel kit is head and shoulders way above heavier than my heavy color cooks that which I also have my toque spot to quick clicking pot to finish it up this is an epic brick right here at the break it's just ridiculous how much heavier my stainless steel components are compared to titanium alright so there it is my new cook set titanium absolutely kills that stainless steel kit so my rock is that much lighter a lighter rock is a good rook because it hurts my shoulders less I can go further without getting tired I burn up less calories I use less hydration it's just the way to go it's the way to go when you're when you're in the woods getting stuff done you want to have the least amount

wait as possible on your back especially if you travel with miles because all that's going to equate to is wearing you down you know think of it in the extreme case if I had 150 pounds of my back I could walk 100 feet each step would be absolutely torturous if I have 20 pounds on my back miles and miles and miles right and I'm fast too fast and agile so this is where it's a nice upgrade to the heavy cover canteen kit and the blokes pot blows away my little stainless kit it's been mentioned it's a Bible School Church I've got a website needs to opcom and as always enjoy the outdoors and if your kids lighter you'll enjoy more take care
