Oh

gotta love a good night hike hey with without a headlamp just fun sometimes I like to just use the red if I use one at all I think the key thing to do is to be able to retrace your steps almost down to within your st. footstep you know like when I headed back off trail to get back to this trail I took the exact same route almost step for step I mean it was exact I walked by the sassafras tree is earlier to sassafrass's one right there you know everything and I think being able to do that just having that kind of innate ability to precisely walk back is important because it's just one less way that you can get turned around you know because you're actually walking precisely and you see things that you recognize like right behind me is the section with the rock wall it's pretty cool there's a stone wall separates us a little water source you know there's a rock wall on the water source so being able to remember things in the woods as you go is a lot easier if you pay attention right goes back to awareness navigation a lot of that is awareness so going back in the exact same way really speed that process up because you're constantly seeing things you've seen before because you're going the exact same way
