Oh

the strangest thing when I hit this section of the woods when I hit the cool air I could smell maple sap turning into syrup the air had the scent of the very distinct scent when maple sap is being boiled down to syrup very distinct nothing else smells like it and I don't know if someone else is making syrup in the area I haven't seen anyone collecting and then of the trees nearby but well maybe with something else you know maybe it's just a gift but I wasn't trying to remember the smell I wasn't trying to you know anything like that I wasn't trying to recall what the syrup smells like or anything like that I wasn't trying to recall the experience I just the more when i hit the woods i got in the path and I wasn't 30 feet into the woods and I hadn't even reached I was in halfway to my my bottles here my jugs have sat that could smell the sweet smell of SAP being reduced its most interesting experience it's not one I've ever had before it's like I think the season actually smells like it I don't know if it's because it's some some old memory jogged into my mind but it's a strangest thing to walk into a section of woods and being able to smell maple syrup he made being cooked down very interesting and another experience I had right before I walked in as I looked up and I saw Orion in the western sky and I thought I wonder if the natives used to not think of him as a hunter or her as a hunter but rather as a sugar maker a syrup I wonder if they saw when that person was up in the up in the constellations when that constellation arrives and it's over in that section of the sky to this part of the world which is where a syrup is made that's when that constellation arrives I wonder if they saw it as a connection with the

with the arrival of the syrup season it's interesting I don't think I'll ever see Orion as the hunter ever again I think it's going to be a Ryan the sugar maker because if you look it could be a bonus hands or it could be a large stick like a stirring paddle maybe he's stirring a pot of maple syrup isn't that cool very cool so around me I some of my jugs let's take a look okay says over Naples that has given me half a gallon the SAP I think it I feel a real Union to the forest when I come out to gather my syrup over my sap to make my syrup and to make my sugar I feel a real kinship it's a such a nice gesture from the trees such a nice blessing to have me it truly truly makes me happy to come out and visit these trees maple is my favorite tree my favorite tree it's another one right here Mabel make the best tools maple is really hard but not too hard that it beats up on your tools so it allows you to make really nice bows really nice spoons and just really nice tools and instruments in general maple is very very special in that way where it's hard enough to be incredibly useful and strong and long-lasting but it's also soft enough where you can easily make those items there's another one thank you my friend get a map everything's frozen I actually just heard they were supposed to be getting snow like tomorrow night maybe four inches so that'd be nice a nice little frosting it's another one behind me I just got the whiff of maple syrup again there it is right there man it's very interesting if you feel very lucky for smelling it I have another tree over here I have eight and all I've already emptied some and these are still if they filled back up so like Frank it out quite a bit of SAP there's another one ounce definite half gallon and it looks like it needs to be changed around a little bit because it froze while it was flowing and no it's not landing inside him that's not what's really sticky it's already turning to really good sugar content in this one Wow ok so you need to break this off and put it inside the jug drop it inside so I can pull this out i actually think i'm going to eat this

voices I saw this ice I'm gonna try to get inside the joke drop one piece right here

put that aside the job as well try to get every little shred of this stuff because any waste is just so disrespectful and frozen solid well this is what I'm walking out of here was tonight something's are full than others I didn't bring enough empties I still have about five more trees with roughly half gallon on them so I'll have to come back tomorrow I have to track down some more mkay gallons okay so i just wanted to share the experience i had tonight came out here and you know Ryan seemed like a syrup maker to me or sugar maker and I felt a kinship tonight and it really started with Orion and then after seeing Orion my stuff into the woods I could I could smell syrup hope everyone is doing well thanks for joining me tonight take care
