Oh

you

I Ellis's mention with the need of survival school tonight we're going to try a burning green wood or not fire stay tuned okay so obviously usually fire wood is dry dead wood but taking a complete living piece of wood and throwing in your fire burning it it's usually a terrible decision because obviously it cooks all the moisture out of it and put your fire out but if you get your fire hot enough you can burn Greenwood I've seen and read some people using this technique like most can ski and Ray Mears I've tried it myself it works let's do it all right so here's a living plant as you can see full on living plant I'm going to choose one of these branches a branch that is in primary it's a side branch off of a main branch so I don't create an issue for the plant it's not a big loss for it to lose this

smells good

process this down into smaller pieces create fuel versus teams off a little bit you can hear its Steven right now signs of its steaming off some of it started to ignite the bottom looks like kind of goes up like that in spurts as you can see it does burst into flame periodically as it dries out as it continues completely bones just like the so I and pull one of these green steps out for it yeah I mean as you can see green sticks are completely engulfed right now it's green wood on fire hold it there there's another piece right there see it goes up it goes up quick burns pretty fast once it gets to a certain point I just like explodes it's pretty interesting you can see it's one of the green sticks right there so it was a little surprising to me at first figured I'd try it out and I was very surprised at the outcome here these green sticks burning so if you get you fire hot enough it dries out green sticks and they can bust there's a green stick just burning is burning away I never thought that that would worked but it definitely does there's a couple green sticks right there sicker ones all right so you have it green sticks burning I couldn't believe it I throw it on there and tried it out right before I shot this video and I couldn't believe that they combusted like that they really explode when they finally like reach critical mass very interesting stuff for sure you've used in time see in the next one take care
